BAPTISMS  Hellooo friends and family! this week was incredible. i am so so so grateful for my mission and for every second I get to share the gospel. We had an incredible zone conference all about showing love to everyone, members, friends, and strangers. We also focused on the saviors love for us and how He is the reason we have any joy.  I am so amazed every day by our faithful YSA's and how they show up to love and serve and teach with us. This last week we got to do baptisms with our whole ward including Attikus! it was his first time at the temple and at first he was hesitant to be the one baptizing but after watching a couple people do it he was like "i got this" and he baptized me and sister Godfrey. The spirit was unrestrained and there were a couple tears shed in the temple.  Our friend Kenzie is planning on getting baptized in April, i'm so sad I won't be here for it but she is amazing. we were talking to some of our members about her and they were lik...

Finding Lost Lambs ¿Haupei? ¿Mbaeteko? This week sure was something. It went by pretty fast but it was full of just good old missionary work and grinding. I feel like I never say what we do on Mondays for P-Day. Honestly it usually isn't anything too crazy. We just played some volleyball and soccer with the whole district. It's pretty chill. It's nice to just relax. Tuesday we had district council which was super awesome. It was really different for me because it was the first one I haven't lead in over a year but honestly super nice. Then we went out and had a super long day because pretty much no one accepted us. We tried to have a couple of solid lessons but they fell through. Well I said Tuesday was long Well Wednesday was way longer. In the morning we maybe passed by and contacted fifteen people and legit nothing. Not even a conversation. After lunch we then continued passing by and contacting and we got nothing. We did end up passing by a good group of recent con...

Arras Tour No sorry to disappoint anyone but this is not Taylor Swifts Eras tour but this is sœur Kogers Arras tour:) Said goodbye to Paris this week!  Said goodbye to working in the temple which hurt my heart, i hope i get to be a visitor center sister again<3. Had a fire last lesson with a family that spoke English as their first language so we taught them the plan of salvation with cute drawing breaks included of course:)  also I saw the very top of the eiffel tower walking home from the metro on my last night so that was a little miracle that made me happy:) Okay so this last Thursday was transfer day and I was transfered from living in the heart of paris to living in a cute town in the north of France called Arras.   Transfers was wild, saw some of my favorite missionaries, said goodbye to sœur Acloque, who is going home at the end of this transfer, and then started taking care of my new (very sick) companion, sœur mcconkie (Yes her great grandpa is Bru...

Dumelang Everyone! I hope everyone is having the absolute time of their life. I know I am bad at emails but to be fair not much has happened these past few weeks. This past week I completed my 5th Baptism so far in the mission! This time was my first time doing the confirmation which was awesome. Our zone has a massive goal of 40 baptisms in the month of February and we have 5 on date and we each need 7 so we are getting there! Lesotho is flourishing at rapid rates. Recently we have put in efforts to have another branch open up in the country which is about to actually happen! We also have gotten the numbers to make the Lesotho District turn into a Stake so hopefully that happens soon as well! We also might have our first ward in the country! Its an amazing time to be a missionary. While doing my first confirmation I also got to be in the circle to ordain 2 youth to the office of deacon and one to Priest so there has been a lot of first times this past week! You may remember a while ba...

End of my Spanish era (for now)! So um big news I'm being transferred... leaving the city and all of it's interesting smells lol.  I'm for sure going to miss the metro and being a city girl and being constantly surrounded by interesting people from all over the world, but my lungs will be happy:)  ive developed a cough but I think that's from the dusty basement in our church building.  So hopefully that won't come with me.  Speaking of which i also hope there will be less scary men in my new area because I've gotten a little too good at pretending I'm deaf when we walk through certain parts of the city. This week I was putting my deaf ears to use but after i ignored a guy saying whatever his line was he said, "Every single time!!" or "chaque fois!!" In a very angry voice - bro when are you going to realize that catcalling is not working?  Also how often do you say creepy things to random women?! Anyways that made me laugh.  For all of y...

Las Lomitas! ¡Hola a todo mi familia y amigos! Well this week has been a full one. Lots of news things happening. Lots of changes but I'm still a Child of God and a missionary of Christ so that's all that matters! Also I hit a year and a half in the mission. Which is insane! Tuesday when I was still in Ciudad Del Este I was able to do exchanges with an Elder in my District and his name is Elder Gunther. He's from Driggs, Idaho. Literally one of the coolest Elders out here on the mission. We were able to work hard and help his friends progress and find some new people to teach. Thanks to Elder Gunther watch out for me after the mission in Driggs out hunting some bears. Wednesday was a pretty crazy day because I pretty much knew I was already heading out of Ciudad Del Este. I took advantage and passed by all of the people that were baptized while I was in Ciudad Del Este. It was pretty bitter sweet because I loved Ciudad Del Este. Thursday morning we got news of transfers. ...

HIS REST   This week I have been thinking a lot about the kind of rest that Christ offers us. Christ offers joy, peace, and comfort that we cannot experience any other way. Today as we drove to our p day activities I saw people on the street that had no idea that Christ had restored his gospel to the Earth, that a prophet speaks to us today, and that we are all part of a great plan of salvation. My heart hurt and I was so grateful for the knowledge and purpose I have. As I share my testimony and experiences with others I grow in love and admiration for my Savior. I know He lives.  We have had some friends commit to baptism recently very quickly and are ready to make commitments with God. We've also had friends turn us down and accept baptism but for years down the road. I know God has a plan for each and every one of His children and will do everything in His power for them to experience as much joy as they will want.  I love this work and I love you all. I hope yo...

Christ's Love ¡Hola mis hermosos! I hope everyone had a good week! Mine was pretty good. Like always lots of ups and downs but we always try and look at the ups more than the downs. Starting off this week ok Tuesday we had a zone council instead of the usual district council. That was pretty different and fun. Then I was able to do exchanges with Elder Bryner again! We've done exchanges a lot together in this area so we already tight. We get along super well and we were able to have some awesome success in our day. We ended up talking about pretty much everything we could talk about! Wednesday was quite a bit different because after finishing exchanges my companion Elder Carey started feeling sick, like he wanted to throw up. We were able to go and have one lesson. Sadly the person we wanted to teach but his eight year old son was and he's super smart! He understood everything taught. Thursday was a little bit more eventful. Unfortunately our air conditioning started drip...

Denfert Rochereau 🚋(that's our metro stop and I have the little jingles of each stop stuck in my head lol.) I had my first exchange this week! It was with sœur weed<3 Let me tell you a little about the paris stls, they are the Sister APs of the mission, meaning they go exchanges with all the sœurs in the Paris district, but they also go on exchanges with all of the stls in the mission!  They were the ones that welcomed us in at the airport too! So in other words they're pretty busy with 2-3 exchanges a week all over the mission lol.  But they also do a lot of regular missionary work!   We did so much street contacting in between lessons, it was so fun!   I also got to go on a run with sœur Weed in the morning to notre dame which was dope! The cadins, the cute senior couple in charge of the visitor center, told me to tell you all to schedule temple tours with me!  Obviously I'd love to see you in person but a virtual tour would be so fun!...

Happy New Year! Aloha Dear Family, Wow, where to start? Christmas was so different not being home with all of our family. New Years was a grand celebration here in Laie. I have never witnessed such lawlessness in my life. I mean in a town where fireworks are illegal, they started going off at around 5:00 and then at midnight they completely exploded and didn't stop. We sat in front of the temple and listened to five different bands play until the count down. Last Sunday we had an experience with one of our ward members that touched my heart and reminded me of why we are here. A young man from South Korea named Tim Kim who has become one of our adopted kids, he announced that he was returning home. He has finished school and an internship. He shared how he came to Hawaii all alone and found a new family, and his two best friends Jeb and Yi. We have watched these three and we have become really good friends. After the meeting we approached Tim and told him how much we were going to ...

A whirlwind of a week! ¡Hooooooooola! I don't even know how to describe this week without just saying that it went by so fast but at the same time just super crazy and at the same time super slow. To start off my week I traveled to Asunción with the leaders from my zone. It's about a six to seven hour drive from where I'm at so that's what we did on Tuesday just driving on a bus all day. Wednesday we had a big leadership council with all the zone leaders and district leaders. It was super amazing and our mission president, President Faúndez, gave us so much amazing advice. We learned so much about having goals and making plans. What a good way to start the new year! We then spent the rest of the day driving home to make it back to Ciudad Del Este. Thursday wasn't that fun of a day because apparently I forgot to drink water pretty much all day on Wednesday so I felt pretty exhausted and sick. That also doesn't help when it's one hundred degrees outside. The ...

MERRY CHRISTMAS   Hiiii!!! I hope you all had an amazing christmas! Things are going amazing here in Rocklin ca!!  We had a baptism last week for our friend attikus who is the most faithful and kind soul I have ever met. My testimony of the meaning of baptism has evolved so much on my mission. I know that the only reason for our joy is because of the Atonement and the forgiveness we feel from the Holy Ghost.  I love and miss you all and I hope you take a moment to consider the blessings of baptism and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. Think of it as you partake of the sacrament and I promise you will understand more the love of your Savior.  That's all this week! Let me know if there's anything I can pray for!!

ANYBODY GOT A MAP???   Hey friends!!!  HAPPY NEW YEAR I am so so so so so excited for come follow me this year the book of mormon is AMAZING!!!! A little update for you all I only have 74 days left in the crm!!! The trunkiness is seeping in and I am going crazy trying to figure out how to make the most of the next 10 weeks ahahahah. If you have any suggestions please let me know. I have determined to read the five gospels (Matthew mark Luke John and 3 nephi) before I come home. I have realized at this point of my mission that nothing matters more than my relationship with the Savior and what I do each day to show my love for Him.  this last week was weird and long and difficult. Not a lot of people are available for lessons or looking for change in our area. Especially with ysa most of them are with their families or enjoying their break. But still we had some amazing experiences. We have a friend who has been working diligently to grow his testimony despite being ...

¡Feliz Año Nuevo! ¡Happy new year a todos! This week was a pretty fun and eventful one! So many celebrations and so many spiritual experiences! Much better than last we I have to say. Tuesday I was able to do intercambios with an elder in my district who's name is Elder Pinto. He's from Chile. He came to my area and it was a blast. We were able to find a lot of people that I haven't been able to find. We taught people super clearly about the importance of the church and baptism so I hope that we can see some more people progress in this area thanks to us teaching super clearly and directly about baptism. Wednesday passed by super quick because we had meetings with the ward and then we had some Elders come and sleep in our apartment for our Christmas activity. Thursday we had our Christmas activity and it was so much fun! We had three zone together so we had about sixty missionaries together. I got to see so many of my mission friends. We got to laugh and just have a fun ac...

On to an AMAZING 2024! Happy New Year my friends and family!! I hope it was very fun and memorable for y'all. Time flies by way too fast and we are already in the year 2024, who can believe it!? Life has been great, our friends are doing great, we grinding and finding and just everything is great! Don't have too much time so that is a quick update.  I want to testify of the Living Christ and that He is actively working in my life and yours. At Christmas we celebrated His birth and with that it opened the doors to the gift of eternal life. With His great sacrifice it sealed the deal and as He rose again we now have the chance to return home to our Father in Heaven! How cool is that. Christ lives, He truly does. I know this with all my heart. And since we have a Living Christ, He will be with us as we trek on to a new year of endless possibilities because of Him. I love the Savior and I know He loves you all.  I want to end with a quote from my dad that he sent to me and i...
