A whirlwind of a week!
¡Hooooooooola!
I don't even know how to describe this week without just saying that it went by so fast but at the same time just super crazy and at the same time super slow.
To start off my week I traveled to Asunción with the leaders from my zone. It's about a six to seven hour drive from where I'm at so that's what we did on Tuesday just driving on a bus all day. Wednesday we had a big leadership council with all the zone leaders and district leaders. It was super amazing and our mission president, President Faúndez, gave us so much amazing advice. We learned so much about having goals and making plans. What a good way to start the new year! We then spent the rest of the day driving home to make it back to Ciudad Del Este.
Thursday wasn't that fun of a day because apparently I forgot to drink water pretty much all day on Wednesday so I felt pretty exhausted and sick. That also doesn't help when it's one hundred degrees outside. The next day on Friday I was able to go to another area and do exchanges with one of the elders in my district. I've done exchanges with him before but his name is Elder Flete and he's from the Dominican Republic. He's super awesome and he has tons of energy. It was such a blast to work with him and get to teach about The Book of Mormon a ton!
Then Saturday came around and we finished our exchanges. We ate lunch in our house this day because our Bishop dropped it off for us. During our lunch our air conditioning started to drip water like crazy. That wasn't to fun to deal with but now my beds been moved a bit and there's just a bucket below the air conditioning. Hopefully this week someone can come and fix it. Sadly the rest of our day wasn't to great. We had lots of rejection so that wasn't the best. We also were fasting which is amazing and miracles always come from it. It is super hard to fast in one hundred though. I finished this day dead exhausted from the heat and I passed out. Sunday as always is a fantastic day because I can go to church and take the sacrament. We also saw many miracles with our fast because we probably had more people come to church this week then I've had in all my time in this area. An inactive member came back to church and told us that he has the goal of baptizing his girlfriend and his son. What an amazing goal and I am so happy he came back to the church.
This week truly went by super fast but it was still fairly difficult. I will probably be leaving this area in about a week and a half. The progress in this area has slowed down quite a bit. I am trying my best to get tons of friends progressing and everything but sadly sometimes that doesn't work. I am truly realizing that me being here every day and trying is my best. Somedays my best will be amazing and I talk with everyone and everyone wants to listen to us and we put everyone on date for baptism. Sometimes the best I can do is go out and work in the heat and smile at everyone because people don't want to listen to us.
I officially have six months left in my mission and I truly want to make every moment count because I know if I don't I'll look back and have regrets and that's the last thing that I want. Thank you all so much for reading my email and I hope you all have a fantastic week! If you need someone to talk to I'm one email away! Love you all!
¡Adiós!
Love, Elder Acor
