Finding Lost Lambs
¿Haupei? ¿Mbaeteko?
This week sure was something. It went by pretty fast but it was full of just good old missionary work and grinding.
I feel like I never say what we do on Mondays for P-Day. Honestly it usually isn't anything too crazy. We just played some volleyball and soccer with the whole district. It's pretty chill. It's nice to just relax.
Tuesday we had district council which was super awesome. It was really different for me because it was the first one I haven't lead in over a year but honestly super nice. Then we went out and had a super long day because pretty much no one accepted us. We tried to have a couple of solid lessons but they fell through.
Well I said Tuesday was long Well Wednesday was way longer. In the morning we maybe passed by and contacted fifteen people and legit nothing. Not even a conversation. After lunch we then continued passing by and contacting and we got nothing. We did end up passing by a good group of recent converts to teach them. Then we went and taught the Correa Caceres family who we have on date!
Thursday in morning we went and taught a lady named Alba. She's going through a rough time in life. It was so awesome to testify to her how she can live a better life. We invited her to be baptized but she couldn't commit to a date because she going to be gone for two weeks but when she comes back we are going to work a ton with her! Then at night we had a family night with Santi who we are helping progress towards baptism. We didn't put him on date but he's getting super close.
Friday was a super fun day because I was able to do exchanges with Elder Orchard! He's super cool and he's from Nebraska. He has about three months in the mission. I went to his area and he was able to lead and he did a great job. I learned a ton about him. We had a really solid day too! We were able to have lots of powerful lessons about The Book of Mormon.
Saturday we were able to pass by lots of recent converts in the morning. We are really trying to get all of them to stay active and it's pretty difficult because each person has different necessities and difficulties. We are doing a pretty good job though. Saturday night we had an activity with our Elders Quorum and it was awesome because they're are pretty excited to help us with the missionary work. We'll see what changes happen.
Sunday was a good day because we got to go to church and take the sacrament! We also had three recent converts come to church and three friends which is so awesome! Santi came which is awesome. Then we had a friend named Thiago. He actually went to FSY here and he came back and is very excited and we are going to work with him to get baptized! He's been in the process of baptism for awhile. Sadly the Correa Caceres family didn't come to church. We'll have to work work with a bit more, but they still have date for the 24th of February. Right after church we had a member who told us he had a referral for us. We went to his house and taught his neighbor who's name is Mirta. She's a mother of seven kids and wants to come to church and be baptized so we put her on date for the 24th of February! Lots and lots of miracles.
Well that's one full week of work. It was a long one and just putting the axe to the grind. Honestly we passed by so many people with week. We looked for so many new people this week. We looked for so many people who've been baptized, people who've had interest before, that's what's important is we looked and we tried. I can easily say that the majority of the people we talked to this week did not want to talk with us or just didn't talk with us. I truly feel blessed because I can help Jesus Christ look for his lost sheep. Thiago shared his testimony about his experience in FSY and I couldn't stop smiling because I was truly seeing one of Heavenly Father's children being converted and changing. The gospel is so amazing. I love it so much, because truly living the gospel is how we can be the happiest. So why shouldn't we help others find it? If we have it we better be sharing it with everyone else because in that way God finds his lost sheep.
That's it for this crazy week! Thank you all for reading my email and I hope you have a fantastic week! If you need someone to talk to just reach out! I'm one email away, and I will respond!
¡Chau!
Love, Elder Acor
