¡Hola mis hermosos!
I hope everyone had a good week! Mine was pretty good. Like always lots of ups and downs but we always try and look at the ups more than the downs.
Starting off this week ok Tuesday we had a zone council instead of the usual district council. That was pretty different and fun. Then I was able to do exchanges with Elder Bryner again! We've done exchanges a lot together in this area so we already tight. We get along super well and we were able to have some awesome success in our day. We ended up talking about pretty much everything we could talk about!
Wednesday was quite a bit different because after finishing exchanges my companion Elder Carey started feeling sick, like he wanted to throw up. We were able to go and have one lesson. Sadly the person we wanted to teach but his eight year old son was and he's super smart! He understood everything taught.
Thursday was a little bit more eventful. Unfortunately our air conditioning started dripping water like crazy so we had to wait for some to come and fix it but than they ended up not coming. We were able to have a nice family night with an older couple and we taught about the importance of The Book of Mormon.
Friday was a fun day because we were able to plan and have a huge family night! We had a pretty good turn out with our members and my comp and I taught about the power of The Book of Mormon. We then ate some hotdogs and everyone just enjoyed each other's company. It was a huge success!
Saturday was a pretty crazy day because it started off pretty nice with the weather. Then after lunch and we had to walk quite a bit to get to our next lesson. We walked in the sun for about forty-five minutes in 100 degree weather. We got absolutely fried. Lucky I was wearing my hat so my arms were the only things that got burnt. That was a long day because my feet were dead tired after because it was so hot.
Sunday then rolled around and I absolutely love Sunday because it means I get to take the sacrament! We also had a tons of people come to church as well! Maybe not people we were teaching but lots of members who haven't come in awhile. For lunch, for the very first time in my mission, we ate fish! It was so yummy and it was a blast too because there were lots of people visiting the family and we got to know them!
Something I felt a lot this week was peace. Even though I wasn't perfect this week and maybe everything didn't work out I felt peace. I know that only comes from Christ, because honestly almost nothing went perfect this week but thanks to Christ I could calm myself and feel peace. I also listened to a BYU speech Sunday that helped me feel more peace. If we can answer the following four questions, with yes, whatever doubts, fears, insecurities, questions, and many more things we have all are miniscule.
1. Is there a God who is our Father?
2. Is Jesus Christ the Son of God, the Savior of the world?
3. Was Joseph Smith a prophet?
4. Is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day the kingdom of God on the earth?
If we can answer yes to these four questions there no need, time, place for our doubts, fears, insecurities, and so many more things! My peace comes from my spiritual answer that I have received to these four questions. If you feel anything other than peace in your life turn to these questions and ask our loving Heavenly Father in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ if it's true. I promise you they are.
Thank you all so much for reading my email! I love you all so much! I am so genuinely thankful for all the support I receive from every single one of you! This week I have transfers and I believe that my time here in Ciudad Del Este is coming to an end. After four months it's been a good time! Now on to new and greater things!
¡Chaucito!
Love, Elder Acor
