Assassinating Snails Team if how good of a person was determined by how many snails you've killed I would be deemed a bad person for sure! There was one I accidentally kicked and it screamed! I didn't even know snails could scream! Yup anyway moving on from that sidenote There is something my mission president wife always says that I love but have never really seen it put it into action until this week!! She says "the Lord has the ability to lengthen our days" how that really worked I didnt know! But as I was looking at Wednesday I knew it would need to be lengthened! And oh man it totally was! There were lessons that came early, fellowshippers over call telling us in the middle of the lesson that they were going to California, and ladies giving us multiple thick bead bracelets!! And it was chaos! But everything that needed to happen did! God is just so good!! This week kind of felt like life got shook up in these three ways: I learned that I love finding! Its just t...

Our friend went to war :( Kia Ora Whanau  Yeah our only friend that we were kinda teaching said that he was leaving to go to war in Ukraine. He told us that news out of the blue when we got there for our regularly scheduled lessons lol. But oh well, we wished him the best! Anyways, this week was pretty basic so ill go over it pretty quick for all of yous Tuesday: we got to do a lot of work today actually. The whole morning we were meeting with our boy craig who loves conspiracies and connecting natural disasters with prophecies in the bible for thr 2nd coming haha. After we talked with him we had a lesson with out south american friend tiere. Thst night we had dinner with our g, Brownie. That was super fun and now that shes back at church she wants to start temple prep. Wednesday: we had district council which was fun and english class that night. We also hopefully made a new friend with this lady we met, she was keen on the church so we will see how the return visit goes. bu...

Right nowwwww 🍨🙊🥳 The ice cream we rode our bikes with and 陳家庭!!We love them!! Okay okay okay I want to tell you all that FIRST God's love is SO real and the church is SO SO true!! I love that about being a missionary is you just get hands on experience and you get to FEEL and help others feel and know of God's love for them that's super duper cool!!  This week we told our birthday friend 李姐妹that the plan of Salvation answers the questions of where we came from, why we are here, and where we will go afterwards and she was MIND BLOWN haha it was so so cool!! Sometimes I forget how blessed we are to know that but as I keep learning about the plan of Salvation I start to understand that it really is PERFECT and actually full of agency and love all because of Jesus Christs atonement!! God wants us to be happy and if you don't believe that then I promise that thought is from the devil!!  Mormon 8:22 For the eternal purposes of the Lord shall roll on, until all his promis...

We met God in the flesh... Kia ora whanau! This week was good! Yes we really did meet God, just read about what happened on Saturday, it was wild! Heres the weekly breakdown! Wednesday: we had temple/pday so we were out of the house basically all day! The temple was great and its so fun to see all the other elders in our zone and neighbor zone! I reunited with elder davis and valgardson too which was cool cuz i havent seen them since mtc! Thursday: pretty basic day lol, we got to do some service for a less active named Ray so that was sweet! We did some weeding for him 🌾🌿and it went by pretty quick but it was nice to change up what we usually do!  Friday: friday was pretty normal too, we had another great chat with brownie and she went to church on sunday too! She has fallen back in love with the gospel which is amazing! We also had dinner with a member at a Chinese place and they got heaps of food so that was nice and it was a great dinner😍! Saturday: this day was pretty ...

God is Good! Good is Happening For behold, I am God; and I am a God of miracles; and I will show unto the world that I am the same yerterday, today, and forever; and I work not among the children of men save it be according to their faith. 2 Nephi 27:23 How is it going 人人(one of my flashcards said that means everyone)? Did you go out and see tremendous miracles!? I would love to hear about them! Send me an email with the miracles you saw this week!!  Anyway as for me this week was weirdly long! Isn't it weird that the same length of time sometimes feels forever (for example a 7.5 half minute plank takes what feels like a century and a year) and sometimed time flashes by even when they are the same amount of time? Even if it was a long week it was a good one! Here's the rundown: On Monday night we had a lesson with our friend who has a baptismal date for Christmas 🎄 our goal was to move it up to October so we could both for sure be there! But God had different plans! The very...

Shi shi shi 🐢 Ether 4: 7 And in that day that they shall exercise faith in me, saith the Lord, even as the brother of Jared did, that they may become sanctified in me, then will I manifest unto them the things which the brother of Jared saw, even to the unfolding unto them all my revelations, saith Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of the heavens and of the earth, and all things that in them are. So I read this verse this week and it literally blew my mind!!! Because in the verses before it says that the brother of Jared saw all things and there never were greater things made manifest to men!! But that's cool because that means WE CAN ALSO HAVE THAT!! literally there is nothing holding us back from knowledge except for ourselves, The lord loves us and He will teach us if we are willing to listen❤️  But also sometimes it's hard to listen and sometimes it's hard to have faith. Except if it wasn't hard we would never grow🌻 Here's some things that happened thi...

Oh boy gotta write speedy Hello hello hello hello everyone! I think I will continue to be bad at these so yay:)  I don't have much time to write this!! I literally have 9 minutes:) So it will have to be short! But I had my first Baptism last night! It was so fun! And super nerve wracking because I gave the talk on baptism which 1. I'm not super confident in that subject:( and 2. I waited to the last minute to prepare like I do! Aaaa! But that one scripture that says something about the words being given to you in the very moment is sososo true. Even if it does just feel like word vomit in the moment lol.  Anyways. It was so amazing though. I just felt the spirit witness to me that I just need to be grateful for the opportunity I have to be here and be a part of all this. Because truly I am not changing anything out here. It is the Lords work. (Which also means less stress so that's nice:) Also maybe everyone always knew this, but I found it pretty awesome in my personal...

We got kidnapped! 😮😮 Kia ora whanau! This week has been really good! We did not actually get kidnapped. A kind man who knows about the missionaries, but isn't part of the church, just gave us a ride home on Wednesday 😂. It was a bit dangerous to get in this random guy's car but I'll always go in strangers cars if they promise me candy. Tuesday we just had a pretty normal day, we met someone who seemed interested so tha'ts sweet! We just have to get in contact with them again which is hard because they are a flight attendant for nz air. Wednesday was pretty average too. We met this Samoan man who's a member, but he hasn't gone to church in a while and i think us coming over really inspired him to get back to church so that's amazing. And he dropped dinner off for us the next night! We also had english class and me and elder ORiordan met these 2 guys from peru which was sweet because we were able to practice our spanish (we have a 15 day streak on duolong...

Shower in the chou rain!! HAPPY PRESIDENT NELSON 100TH BIRTHDAY!!!  Guess what?!?!! GOD PUT OUR FRIEND ON DATE!!! This week we decided that there was no reason we couldn't ask our friend to get baptized sooo we prayed about it and planned her lesson and God totally did the rest!! On Thursday we went to our lesson and when our friend came with her son she was so happy because they hadn't gotten wet which might seem like a small thing but to her it was huge and also Taiwan people are scared of their rain so just trust me when I say it was God's plan.... because THEN when we were introducing ourselves our peike totally testified how they knew God's love was real and they bonded over their love for cooking and THEN our friend told her story of why she was willing to meet with missionaries and it was an experience I will never forget!! She told us about a dream she had and as soon as she explained her dream the spirit rushed in and I've never felt the spirit like that ...

The Secret Life of Mormon Missionaries The secret's out:  we're all really awkward actually.  We try to act cool about it though Sometimes I think when you're not a missionary you forget that there are people all over the world just meeting up with strangers all day long trying to help them on their path to exaltation lol. Crazy.  Anyways I'm ready for Christmas... so if you feel like making a Christmas card... here's my address:) 3 Rue Alphonse Laveran Évry, 91 91000 France 3 Rue Alphonse Laveran Évry, 91 91000 France

First full week in da field Kia ora! Ita already been one week!  Its crazy that it has already been a week. I feel like the days flew by! Theres a lot that happened so lets get into it. On tuesday we were able to go to the night markets for dinner. The nighr markets are basically farmers markets, but its every day of the week all in different locations each day. Tuesdays are the day where its in our area so we stopped by with the sisters in our district (oh yeah our district is only me + my comp and then 2 sets of sisters). The night market was so sick. It was on the bottom level of this parking garage so it was so smoky but they had tons of food and little shop's. I got some chinese food and then a member we ran into got us some more food 😋. That was clutch cuz me and elder oriordan have been getting clapped with our member meals 😴. All good tho. Wednesday was pretty normal. Weve just been trying to meet more people to teach so weve been knocking a lot of doors. Also wed ...

Is anything to hard for the Lord (week 50) Yesterday night Sister McCullough and I were sitting, eating brownies with spoons, musing about how it was already pday again when it felt like we really had not done much! Which is honestly pretty far from the truth so here is a run down on some of the things that went down this week!  🚪 🌊🌊😁 For the past little while some people on the mission have been teaching and applying teaching towards baptisms! They start with a chapel tour as their first meeting and then put them on baptismal date right there! They teach them the blessings, like eternal joy and the constant presence of the Holy Ghost, and ask is this something you would like? And then say to get those blessings we are baptized! I have never tried it before and to be honest have sometimes been scared to bring baptism up! Last week though as we sat in a family mart and thought about how many people we could have on baptismal date we realized we wanted to push ourselves we...

🌻"please bless my big toe"🌻 GUESS WHAT!! Alright here's the crazy birthday miracle of the week!!  This week all I wanted for my birthday was a friend!! Haha I was praying all week and all day that we would be able to find someone and on that day we decided to go and knock on a referrals door, this included a 20 minute bike ride into the mountains to knock on a door but it felt like it was worth it! Sadly our referral wasn't there but his mom was and she welcomed us in! She loved to talk to us about america but didn't seem very willing to listen... but we did invite her to church and then we left. At ECG that night we also invited a cute mom and her daughter to come to church but by the end of the day we had no new friends... but that's okay because it was still an awesome day!! Anyway then Sunday came and when church happened all 3 of the people we invited on August 28th came!!!! And then we set up times to meet with all of them!! It was super cool because...
