Is anything to hard for the Lord (week 50)

Yesterday night Sister McCullough and I were sitting, eating brownies with spoons, musing about how it was already pday again when it felt like we really had not done much! Which is honestly pretty far from the truth so here is a run down on some of the things that went down this week!

For the past little while some people on the mission have been teaching and applying teaching towards baptisms! They start with a chapel tour as their first meeting and then put them on baptismal date right there! They teach them the blessings, like eternal joy and the constant presence of the Holy Ghost, and ask is this something you would like? And then say to get those blessings we are baptized! I have never tried it before and to be honest have sometimes been scared to bring baptism up! Last week though as we sat in a family mart and thought about how many people we could have on baptismal date we realized we wanted to push ourselves we set a goal with God and decided to teach towards baptism in our lessons! The very first lesson of the week was a chapel tour with someone who has been surprised we were talking to him on the streets but seemed willing to meet with us! We taught him about God and Jesus, the sacrament and the holy ghost and at the end we asked him how these things could help him! He said more happiness! Which is absolutely so true! And with the help of a mighty member we put him on date to be baptized in October! He has very little religious background but said that he knows it was fate that we stopped to talk to him! Which it was :)

3 Nephi 14:7 Ask, and it shall be given unto you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

The other huge thing that happened this week was mission tour! This is where a general authority comes to the mission and in our case for three days gave us devotionals in person or online! His name was Elder Teh (I asked him how to say his last name and the answer was basically yes to everything you called him) and he took the time to know us all by name and invited us all to eat our food with one chopstick for some of the time! Needless to say it was a great week! I learned so much about faith and obedience and the relationship between them! And on the bus ride over as I was contemplating how to increase my faith the very thing I was contemplating was talked about! God is still a God of miracles!!

Matthew 17:20 If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Other things:

๐ŸŒ„my whole district waking up at a way too early time to be to play frisbee with me!!!

๐ŸŽ‚ a member buying me a whole cake and wanting to buy me two cakes (we still haven't finished the first one so if anyone wants any you are welcome to come over)

๐Ÿ’‍♂️meeting a guy on the street who said "where are your brothers" because six years ago he had met the elders, added them on line, and come to our church and remembered so clearly he asked twice where they were! But we also added his line and he came to church so who knows in six years he might ask other missionaries where are your sisters!

๐Ÿ“– a guy on the street looking at the Book of Mormon and saying he could finish that in a week! Do you think he has?

๐Ÿqinged (this means someone bought you food haha) to hot pot and ribs

It was a great week and I cannot wait to go apply everything I have been learning! This week a verse of scripture has repeatedly come up so I would love to share it with you!

Helaman 3:29

Yea, we see that whosoever will may lay hold upon the word of God, which is quick and powerful, which shall divide asunder all the cunning and the snares and the wiles of the devil, and lead the man of Christ in a strait and narrow course across that everlasting gulf of misery which is prepared to engulf the wicked

The first time I heard this scipture was in a testimony of an Elder who was leaving! He said I am soon going back to that world but these people in Taiwan are living in it now! And I was confused! But now as I have read it again I realize what it is saying is life is hard and Satan is good at his job! However God is even better at His job!! And He provided a sure way to make it back to Him through His Son Jesus Christ! And if we do our part and read the Book of Mormon we will absolutley be okay! So team do me and yourself a favor and go read the Book of Mormon

He loves you and so do I!!!!
