Our friend went to war :(

Kia Ora Whanau

Yeah our only friend that we were kinda teaching said that he was leaving to go to war in Ukraine. He told us that news out of the blue when we got there for our regularly scheduled lessons lol. But oh well, we wished him the best!

Anyways, this week was pretty basic so ill go over it pretty quick for all of yous

Tuesday: we got to do a lot of work today actually. The whole morning we were meeting with our boy craig who loves conspiracies and connecting natural disasters with prophecies in the bible for thr 2nd coming haha. After we talked with him we had a lesson with out south american friend tiere. Thst night we had dinner with our g, Brownie. That was super fun and now that shes back at church she wants to start temple prep.

Wednesday: we had district council which was fun and english class that night. We also hopefully made a new friend with this lady we met, she was keen on the church so we will see how the return visit goes. but basically thats it for Wednesday.

Thursday: we had our mentor session today and that was good, but basically just another regualr day. Not much that went on lol

Friday: we tried to meet up with Ngamatuea, our friend who is going off to war, but he wasnt home so that was sad. Its crazy how sudden he left. We also picked up some 40lbs weights to do some workouts with but man, biking uphill with 40lbs weights is hard as 😂. We also did our first temple prep class with Brownie so that was good! Also we found a guitar in someones trash bin and it was only missing a few strings so we might try and get it fixed!

Saturday: we had a good amount of visits and we had a chat with Jessica which was just 30 mins of her talking about going back in time and slaying dinosaurs so that was funny

Sunday: classic Sunday, we dont get to do much on sundays because we are at church for a while and then usually have sunday dinner with a member, but its a good break from the week and dinner was good this week. We had a pot roast which reminded me of home.

Today(monday): we have p day and we went to the arcade/bowling place which was super fun. Also had some mean pasteries this morning. Prolly the best p day so far.

Thats it for this week tho. Pretty chill, nothing crazy happened. Transfrer news came out but since im still training ill just stay here for at least another 6 weeks so its all goods.

Scripture of the week is:
Mosiah 14:6 (isaiah 53:6)

"All we, like sheep, have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquities of us all."

I love this script because even if we stray off the path and get lost spiritually, the lord still cares about us enough to justify the consequences of our sins. He cares for all of us, and he wants us to turn to him!
