Sister Calianne Skinner: 9/23/24

 God is Good! Good is Happening

For behold, I am God; and I am a God of miracles; and I will show unto the world that I am the same yerterday, today, and forever; and I work not among the children of men save it be according to their faith. 2 Nephi 27:23

How is it going 人人(one of my flashcards said that means everyone)? Did you go out and see tremendous miracles!? I would love to hear about them! Send me an email with the miracles you saw this week!! 

Anyway as for me this week was weirdly long! Isn't it weird that the same length of time sometimes feels forever (for example a 7.5 half minute plank takes what feels like a century and a year) and sometimed time flashes by even when they are the same amount of time? Even if it was a long week it was a good one! Here's the rundown:

On Monday night we had a lesson with our friend who has a baptismal date for Christmas 🎄 our goal was to move it up to October so we could both for sure be there! But God had different plans! The very best ones I would say! Because she still wanted to move it up, November here we come, AND said she would love for her eight year old daughter to be baptized with her!! So this week we got to start teaching her daughter! we taught her about her relationship with God, how much Jesus loves her, and how the Holy Ghost can help her! And I got to hear this eight year olds girl very first prayer! God is good 🫶

This week it also rained 🌧 and sometimes we were biking 🌧 and sometimes we did not have our rain coats on 🌧 yup it meant getting to a lesson completley DRENCHED, teaching an English Group with water lines on our dresses, and one or two changes of clothes in the middle of the day! On Saturday we had already gotten soaked once and we were heading to do personal study when the sky started drizzling on us! Sister Henderson looked back to me with a face of horror and then the skies opened again! For the next 20 minutes we shouted over the rain what we were grateful for as our raincoatless selves biked in a torrential downpour! I'm grateful for Sister Henderson!

Yay other things:

🏃‍♀️we had a lesson who said she wouldnt give us her phone number or line but if it wasnt raining she would show up! It wasn't raining! She showed up! And then before we had the chance to talk to her she ran away...

🌙 中秋節快樂！this week it was one of Taiwans biggest holidays where they eat mooncakes, and I think take pictured of the moon

📅 it was Sister Hendersons six week follow up this week! 

👴 one time this week our lesson didn't show up so we were talking to our fellowshipper and at the end her husband showed up and gave us Orange Juice and a snickers and it reminded me of my grandpa! LOVE YOU GRANDPA!!

There has been so much JOY this week! And I know its heaven sent! I mean how else could I laugh my way through hours of finding in the rain almost slipping every five minutes, while countless people reject you (we even got cussed out after refusing the beer people offered us...)! It s because the message I am called to teach is much too joyful to be kept in! God is too good for this not to be true! 

He loves you and so do I!!!
