客死異鄉 kèsǐyìxiāng to die in a foreign land 💗😣 Today's title comes from one of my pleco sessions this week :) and also what I was worried might happen😥 Haha I might still be worried that will happen... This week was so so sad but also so so crazy that I had not a lot of time to process it:) On Tuesday we went from lesson to lesson and then were able to make kollaches with our friend while watching conference. We also had our last lesson with our friend that's getting baptized next week and it's been so cool to see how she's been overcoming the challenges the devil throws at her🌻 After all our lessons we went back and opened transfer calls on the roof and then I had to start packing😥 On Wednesday we were able to say bye to almost all our friends, it was maybe the saddest thing of my life. We had a dinner with one of our friends before ECG and then we taught ECG and said bye to everyone afterwards. It felt so unreal to say bye. On Thursday I contemplated my whole life...

God's Greatest Miracles ¿Mabetekopio? ¿Iporã? I hope you are all doing fantastic. This week was really good for me! One of my favorites in the mission for sure. Doesn't mean there wasn't difficulties, but they add to the experience. Also I hit 21 months as a missionary! Isn't that crazy? Starting off with last Monday. It was very different from all my Pdays in my last area. We stayed here Villarrica because it was raining a ton. It didn't stop raining all day so we had a very chill day. Very different but kinda a fun change. Tuesday we have our district council in a city about an hour from here called Coronel Oviedo. Again very different from my last area. Tuesday was almost amazing because it was nice and chilly. I can't say it was cold but it was chilly. I really wanted to eat Mbeju and our last lesson we went to they were making Mbeju so that was a huge blessing. Wednesday we were able to go out with a return missionary from our branch. That was a blast. His...

Running this town Literally. We have found lots of fun new trails around here and it's a great way to start the mornings:) Two tall girls from Utah out here speaking to everyone we see.  Miracles.  I might just stay in Arras forever. Learning how to make more yummy food:) Went to the market for the first time this week and it was a great place to find both people and fruit.  Don't forget that God is one prayer away!  So cool we can literally just tell God about our day and tell Them about your struggles, and then get blessed!! #prayallthetime Love you all!   Send me a picture from this week with no caption and I'll caption it for you Sœur Koger

Laie Mission April 2024 Heavenly Father puts people in our path, letting us know He is there watching over us!  Easter Sunday, we went to church and as we walked past another missionary couple. They introduced us to their friends, the Henningson’s. I was excited to hear that name and said I am related to the Henningson‘s in Manti. I asked if he was related to Henry Henningson. He said that was his grandfather, I said, that was my great grandfather.  He is Fred’s son Brent and was here at church. Then he went on to say how he and the Gammon’s had served together in their last mission, one of three they had served in. Brent asked if any of my family members were active in the church. I said yes, they all are. I told him all of my siblings have been married in the temple. He asked which temple we had been sealed in. I smiled and said the Manti Temple, of course! It is special because I had a great grandfather who lived close to it and that is where my parents were sealed. W...

My impression of America is... Wow Heyyy!  I just want you all to know I miss you and love you! That's all!  This week there's been a lot of stumbling blocks but also SO many incredible things. Isn't that so cool how you can have both? In the very beginning of the Book of Mormon Nephi starts by saying that  Nephi 1:1 I Nephi, having been born of goodly parents, therefore I was taught somewhat in all the learning of my father; and having seen many afflictions in the course of my days, nevertheless, having been highly favored of the Lord in all my days; yea, having had a great knowledge of the goodness and the mysteries of God, therefore I make a record of my proceedings in my day. Every time I start to read the Book of Mormon that stands out to me. Why do you think that he chose to start the whole book of Mormon by saying that He had afflictions? Wouldn't you want to start with the good? This is why I think the Lord chose this verse to start but I would love to kno...

Like Father like Son  ¡Haupei! ¿¡Cómo están ustedes!? I hope you're all doing fantastic. I hope you all had a good week as well and that you had the opportunity to listen to some General Conference talks again. If not go and listen to one today! This week was crazy with easily the coolest thing that has happened on my mission so stay tuned. Tuesday we were able to have our last district council as a district. We also had to say goodbye to a really cool hermana who finished her mission which was sad. I've been seeing lots of deaths lately. Then I got to go on exchanges with THE Elder Halls (aka Hallscito) It was such a blast and we couldn't stop talking to each other about everything. We are super good friends so it was good to just talk about everything. He's also from my group so we finish together. We also had served together a lot previously. We also had some amazing miracles happen in exchanges which was awesome. Even better is that my trainee didn't die leading...

Escargot transfer: Training and a baptism falling through   Said goodbye to sœur McConkie and had some delicious member meals, couscous that took 5 hours to make!!!! It was delicious.  Brought some snails in my pocket to Paris for transfers to eat them and I would say they're a 10/10.  Started training!  I love Sœur Robinson:)  she's a runner too so we're running every single morning now and it's INCROYABLE.  She's very very allergic to nuts so pray that I don't accidentally kill her. Chef Koger is changing her recipes. (No more peanut butter ice cream) I told you all last week that a baptism was happening next week.  Well that's what we thought. Our friend is very prepared but when he didn't show up I can't lie, I was pretty sad.  The font emptied and ate the drain cover but that was the worst of our worries.  God had a plan for each and every one of us!  It's so fun to get rejected and just know that the next time they see missionaries...

Nothing says Taiwan like Guava and Earthquakes This week I learned a lot of new Grammer! Haha but most of it had to do with Earthquakes...  I want to thank everyone who has reached out to me or my family! I definitely felt all your love and prayers! All the missionaries are okay and even though it was the biggest earthquake Taiwan has had in 25 years it was only about a 4-5 in Taichung. The scariest was seeing the videos from Hualien where it was the worst. I'm going to tell you my earthquake experience but it might be long haha so if you don't want to read it then feel free to skip this one😁 WEDNESDAY MORNING On Wednesday morning Sister Eisermann and I happened to come back from exercising 10 minutes earlier! Which was such a miracle because if we had come back any later we wouldve been in the elevator or on the 15th floor which wouldve been much worse than the 9th floor. But anyway we got back to the apartment and I was just standing there when all of a sudden my companio...

Patience, Patience, Patience, Please Words of my mission president in English and he doesn't speak English. This week has been that phrase to a tee. God has been asking for my patience a lot and I think I was able to show at least a little bit this week. Lots of trying to find new people and working in unity as a companionship, but with the amazing blessing of General Conference! Alright big summary of the week was Tuesday to Friday were all very similar. Passing by the friends we already have. Many of them not being home or not having time. Then trying to find new friends. Asking for referrals from members. Contacting many houses and asking if they would like to share with us. We have been able to find some people that have interest. The difficult part is finding our friends again and having a second lesson. It's very easy to contact people in their house and if they're home teach them something small. Finding them again is very complicated. That's where we are at in ...

April Fools Lol gotcha, my April fools prank this year was not sending out an email.  So many things to say and so little time to say it but Easter was great, so was general conference and then next Sunday we'll have a baptism so 3 incredible Sundays in a row!  If you pulled a funny prank for April fools I want to hear about it.   We got transfer news and sœur mcconkie is leaving and I will be training!! So wild and crazy and exciting!  Had some amazing miracles and I've really been so grateful for what Jesus Christ has done for us. My testimony has grown in the past few weeks, feeling the spirit, learning about the Savior, learning about who I want to become, and the little miracles I see every day. especially those little yellow flowers 🏵  each one is a symbol of God's love for you and me, and the fields are full of them. They are countless. God's love for you is endless. Each time you see a yellow flower think of God's love for you.  Love you all S...

Dumelang Everyone! It's been a fat minute since my last email eskees. It's been a wild few weeks. For the sake of time I'll be brief. Bakkie breakdown: I witnessed our car get absolutely destroyed by a massive rock. I was backing the car up and thought to myself "Maybe I should move that massive rock" but of course I ignored the spirit as I thought my companion would clear it... well... 1 quick slide on gravel later he hit the rock and I watched as it slammed into the back of the front bumper ripping it out😅 Peace Out: I left Lesotho! After Six months of being in Masianokeng and the wonderful Branch inside of it. For our final pday we spent a total of 9 hours driving across the country to see a massive concrete wall... no joke. It's called Katse Dam, second biggest in the world. I'd give some dad jokes but that wouldn't be consecrated. In with the new: Welcome to Blomanda! I am now serving in a township known as "Blomanda" which is right n...

HAPPY 🐣 EASTER 🦃 HAPPY EASTER!!!! THE TOMB IS EMPTY HE IS RISEN!!!! I hope you were all able to celebrate Jesus Christ and remember Him this week! I also hope you were able to eat some good food:) Here in Taiwan whenever we tell people about 復活節 (Easter) they ask us if that's the one where we eat the turkey 🤔  EASTER PLOT TWIST We handed out cards inviting people to sacrament meeting 3 weeks before Easter and we told them all that it would be a special sacrament meeting but let me tell you your friend Sister Cheyenne Skinner was in for a plot twist when the night before their special Easter sacrament she got a text message asking if she could give a talk... let me just tell you it was not the beautiful musical number sacrament meeting she thought it would be but Easter sacrament meeting was still memorable! I was able to testify of Jesus Christ and bare my testimony that He loved those people so much so if that's all they were able to 聽得懂 then that's all that matters....

¡Felices Pascuas! ¡Haupei! ¿Mabetekopio? This week was pretty good. It was a weird one because here in Paraguay they take the Holy Week and Easter very seriously and there's lots of vacations and so there wasn't a lot of people home. Made it a little difficult trying to teach lots of our friends because they just weren't home. Then trying to find new people was hard because not many people were in their houses! We were still able to have some good success and see some miracles. Tuesday we had a solid district council. Then we had the opportunity to go and make visits with a recent convert from another ward. His name is Hector, he's 18 and he's from the ward in Ñemby. We share a building with Ñemby so we always see him there. He also hangs out with us on Pdays. It was super fun to have him join us. He speaks lots of English thanks to him watching lots of Tiktoks in English. He has a really strong testimony and he could share some awesome things with our friends. We...
