SOMEBODY GIVE ME AN AMEN   When president talley was about to leave he told all of us in MLC that when you come to the end of your mission the Lord will in some way shape or form thank you for your service. I feel like everyday I see a little miracle or even a huge miracle and every time I am absolutely filled to the brim with God's love. He really appreciates your effort and blesses you for it.  We had a couple lessons with our friend Cody who decided to get baptized on Feb 29th. He is so faithful and so ready to do whatever to takes to get closer to God. Yesterday as we were talking to him about enduring to the end we asked him about sharing Christ's light and when he had seen another share their light with him. He looked me directly in the eyes and said "you". Now I've had a pretty awesome mission but I'm definitely not a perfect missionary and that something I remind myself of every moment of every day but Cody was clear that I had had an impact on his l...

Open the pickles! HAPPY LANTERN FESTIVAL!! This was two days ago but now you know this holiday exists! I hope you all are doing grand wherever you are and hope you know I LOVE YOU!  FINDING We went finding and saw our amitofo (I know I'm spelling this wrong but that's okay) friend! We just went to say hi because we know he doesn't have interest but then he went and slowly reached out and touched Sister Eisermann's eye!! I think we were both in a trance because we both let it happen! But then as I was laughing I moved his hand away. It literally killed me. Honestly Sister Skinner should definitely work on her protecting companion skills. 🫣 LESSONS This week we had lots of lessons! We met with our recent convert and she is seriously a hero! It was such a miracle to be able to talk to her again and explain the importance of prayer! We also met with a bujiji member who may have just roasted us the whole time but it's okay. Sometimes you need to be roasted. We also inv...

Your Greatest Effort  ¡Hola a mi familia y a mis grandes amigos! I hope you've all had an amazing week! Hope you all could feel God's love and could serve others! This week was a really good one for me! God's been blessing Las Lomitas and we are just trying to keep up! Tuesday definitely started off not as ideal as we would have hoped because my comp was sick. It's all good because there's always tomorrow. Wednesday was a super awesome day because we could start by having our interviews with President Faúndez in the morning. My interview was so good. He always knows what to say and help the flame underneath me grow a little bit. I also finish my mission when he finishes his so we had a good talk about that. Then I could do exchanges with Elder Rindlisbacher! It was great as always. I got to go to his area. We talked a lot and it was so good. I learned a lot about how I can help out my area! Thursday was a good day because we were able to teach some recent converts a...

WONDER OF WONDERS   Hey all!! I'm officially in my last transfer and I'm with one of my favorite companions again, sister rasmussen!! We've had a good time reminisincing on all our red bluff days and we are working so hard to get these ysas to make covenants with God. They are doing so good and there are so many miracles every day. Now that I can see the end I can't help but love every moment and make the absolute most of it all.  I hope you all have a wonderful week full of miracles and book of mormon verses and maybe even a temple trip.  My favorite moment from this week was helping our friend Cody decide to get baptized February 29th. This is going to be the best transfer yet!!

Ratatouille (live action version) As far as the caption goes I'll just leave this picture here for you at the end and you can figure it out:)  you can bet we've been making some yummy food.  This week we got chastised for spreading propaganda and got thrown out of a library by a lady that doesn't work there but saw our tags... we had to finish our weekly planning somewhere else lol. Gave out a bunch of books of mormon this week!  I've been reading it and marking all the times Christ's name is mentioned and it shows how the book of mormon really is centered on Jesus Christ.  Being a missionary is so fun because I'm constantly learning and then my job is to share what I learn. We have the spirit with us to teach us but then we also have the spirit guiding us to people and guiding us with what to say to them!  I love being a missionary! I hope you all had a fantastic valentines day filled with lots of love!  We had a pretty chaotic but super fun day:)...

Tagless, watchless, tennis raquetless 😔 HAPPY PRESIDENTS DAY!!! GOOD NEWS! Even though yesterday Sister Cheyenne 阮姐妹 went the whole day without a tag, tennis racket, and watch she today has her tag and tennis racket!! (No watch but you know you can't have everything:) BUT most important this week she got closer to the Lord! Isn't that so cool that we can always keep growing?  Here are some GRAND things that happened this week! - 5 member visits to Finish off the Lunar New Year! All of them were so so good! My favorite thing though was talking to the members! Almost all of them are converts and it's so cool how none of them have the same story. God is seriously aware of all of His children INDIVIDUALLY.  - got to teach 3 friends all in one day and it was cool to see how the spirit led all in a different direction!  - went on an exchange to Beitun! Sister Brenchley goes home in two weeks and she's so sad about it. Honestly this was kinda life changing for me. I hones...

Running to Christ's Light y ¡Vamos Santiago! ¡Hola, hola, hola a todos! I hope you all have had a fantastic week. I know I sure have. This week was full of miracles and I could see God's hand in my life everyday! Last P-Day we had zone P-Day so that was such a blast. I got to see tons of mission friends! We got to play some sports too. Just a bit of soccer because it was 110 degrees outside so it was super sucky to play outside. It was a really good P-Day. Tuesday was such a good day because we got to teach our friends Mirian, Rodney, and Adriana. Mirian is who we started teaching first and she came to church with her daughter Adriana. Rodney is also her son. We got to teach them and put them all on baptismal date for March 2nd. They are super awesome and really want to turn their lives around! Then we had an awesome lesson at night about tithing and fast offerings with Santiago! Wednesday we were able to teach the Correa Caceres family again and teach then a bit about The Pla...

🐲busting in all the ways!🐉 新年快樂!恭喜發財!幸福如意! Or in other words HAPPY NEW YEAR! Imagine every meal is Thanksgiving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Every single meal you eat all your favorite foods with your loved ones and party it up and then do it again! As one of the members told me yesterday, after the Chinese New Year everyone looks a little "chubby"! It's honestly been so cool to learn and be a part of the Chinese New Year even if it has been a learning process too haha. Here are some things that happened this week! - zone conference! Zone conference was so spiritual and exactly what I needed to hear. The coolest thing was they asked us all to share how we had improved since coming on our missions. I thought at first everyone would share about the language but as I thought about it and as other shared it was so cool to see that all of us had improved our relationship with the Lord in some way or the other! When we focus on our relationship with the Lord all other aspec...

Thinking Celestial ¡Hoooola a todos! I hope that you all had a fantastic week this week! I hope you all had the chance to say your prayers everyday and read the scriptures everyday as well! If not there's always this week. This week was definitely a different one for me. It kinda all blended into one. It went by fairly fast. Really what I want to do is focus on some of the best things that happened this week. I want to focus on the positive and leave the negative behind. If it's not helping me it's hurting me. With that we were able to see many miracles this week! I did exchanges with Elder Rindlisbacher who's from Spanish Fork Utah so super close to me! The last time we did exchanges we both only had about a month in the mission field. We are much better missionaries now. During exchanges we were able to put a baptismal date with our friend Nelly. She's known about the church for many years now but needs to get married so we are helping here with this goal so that...

3 New Friends in One Day Okay folks I decided I didn't want to leave you hanging but I have zero time to write this week, everyone send me updates on your life! We did in fact make three new friends in one week and they're all super cool. Had exchanges this week and sœur Smith is so cool and her french is so good and her stl skills are even better.   Had one of my best days ever when we taught lessons all day and our lunch was with and paid for by our friend Vincenzo, he brought his daughter and son and we gave her a book of mormon and his son a kids comic version and they were so happy to receive them it was incredible. The girl was sneaking reading it under the table while we ate and Vincenzo asked for an illustrated version as well.  He kept talking about how exciting of a thing temples are to him how he can be with his family for ever.  Pretty much a missionary's dream. Jesus's dream:) Anyways there's a lot of member work to do and we've got ourselves deep...

Aloha Kākou, Our first PCC Hawaiian Devotional this year started with Terry Panee (Brother of Doug) who is in charge of the Hawaiian village, sharing the word of the day. I thought I would share it with you, as this is a large part of what we are experiencing, and living here in our Laie mission. Quote:  "Welina mai me ke aloha, February is ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi Month (Hawaiian Language Month). So we begin our ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi Month Word of the Day with “Aloha”. Contrary to popular belief, Aloha has many more than 3 meanings, Hello and Goodbye are a small part of them.  Aloha can be a noun, an object that can be given, received and shared. Our Kuleana is to share Aloha to the world. Aloha is a Transitive Verb (an action done to someone or something). Being loving, kind, charitable, and compassionate, are actions of Aloha. It is also a Stative Verb (an action that is completed). Mercy, Sympathy, and Grace are also definitions of Aloha.  Yes, Aloha is used as a salutation or ...

Tractor manifestation 🚜 This week we had so many miracles  ✨️  We had some FIRE lessons and everyone felt the spirit.  Every single lesson is so focused on Jesus, and a lot of that is thanks to my lack of french skills, jesus is what I'm most comfortable talking about in french because i talk about who He is ALL THE TIME.  We had 3 MEMBER MEALS in one week so thank you everyone for all the times you've had the missionaries over:) As far as the title, manifestation in French is some sort of protest we think but the farmers of this area are protesting something and there's a whole lot of tractors on the roads.  We were trying to do weekly planning but we heard a whole bunch of horns super loud and that's what it was(video in the google photos album) Also hot take but I think it's weird to ask people what nationality they are for your first sentence you say when you meet them, this week people asked me if I was french, German, tahitian, Indian, native Americ...

¡Vamos Thiago!   ¡Mabetekopio! ¿Cómo están todos? I hope that everyone had an amazing week this week. If not, you always have next. My week was a lot more chill than the week before so that's good. We were able to see so many miracles and blessings so let's just get right into it. Monday was awesome. After P-Day we had a family home evening with the Fonseca family. If you remember last week's email I talked about Thiago. We had the goal to put him on date. We asked him what date and he said this Saturday. We were shocked! The whole family was so excited and it was an amazing experience! Tuesday was a good day. It was super hot. We got to have lunch at a member's house and she had goats so that was fun playing with them. After that we had some good lessons. We got to plan Thiago's baptism with our branch president a bit as well. Late that afternoon we passed by our friend Mirian who has a date to be baptized on the 24th of February. We taught her neighbor and her son...
