Hey guys! Welcome back to another week in the life of Sister Neel :)) Sister Hansen and I are living our best lives over here. She's SUCH an amazing companion and is absolutely KILLING IT in training! This girl was born to be a missionary and keeps the work creative and fun. She's such a light to be around and rarely lets situations get her down. She's bold, courageous, determined, spiritually in tune, sincere, energetic and so positive about the work. She's a keeper! This week was AWESOME!! We went to the Baptist seminary college campus three times and did some studies. We had some great conversations and actually ran into our friend Dylan! (I'll talk about him later). People seem pretty skeptical to see us but once they realize how genuine and sincere we are all the tension falls and we leave with an amazing gospel discussion. They realize we aren't there to bash or convert them but to be genuine and spread Christ's light to all. It's a beautiful cam...

Xin Chào gia đình!!  God. Is. Grand.  How many times can I start an email like that? Maybe 12 more times haha!  But God is so grand. Let me tell you the story of Michael. The Jack of all trades and the master of fun!  Michael's wife, Susan, would request media referrals over and over and everytime the sisters would go over and try and meet her, Michael would answer and say that she was in the hospital. Everytime that the sisters would stop teaching her, she would request herself again.  One day they got the same media referral and decided that they would go over and teach whoever was home. They decided to teach the Plan of Salvation. When they got there the whole family was home and they said that Susan passed away that morning.  The day she referred herself again.  Two lessons later I met Michael on my first day in Lynbrook.  Michael can repeat everything we tell him right back to us. He reads every chapter that we give him and the members...

bike pics. We look so dead ahaha church :)) HELLO FROM NORTH CAROLINA!!! Ok ya'll biking was an absolute party! We don't even live in our area which makes things lots of fun :)) The lower half of my body is currently nonexistent but that's ok. Just goes to show that some progress is being made ;) One day we biked over 15 miles and I vow to never do that again. Up every hill we climbed (which is 90% of Wake Forest) we would sing loudly "I LIKE TO RIDE MY BICYCLE I LIKE TO RIDE MY BIKE!!" Name that artist and you'll forever be my favorite ;)) But anyways our members were absolute angels and offered to pick us up for service projects or church without us even letting them know. It was so helpful! Highlights of the week: ☆ Sister Hansen and I walked into our club house office to do some work on the computers and saw a bible study being hosted. We did our work fast and left to give them space but I felt prompted to hang around outside and do contacting until thei...

Happy Monday everyone! It's BEAUTIFUL over here in Wake Forest! Since North Carolina is straight up 90% trees, the fall season makes this place paradise. It's a color show everyday :)) But Sister Hansen and I are stoked! There's only 20 more days until Halloween and we are on bikes for this next week! President Maurer has 3 areas in our district sharing two cars. Pretty much how it works is we get two weeks of driving and 1 week with biking, so now it's our turn. We asked for leg day and we got it. Thunder thighs here we come y'all :)) Highlight of the week? For sure booing members. We printed off halloween papers that said, "You've been booed," cut out ghosts, made halloween sugar cookies and doorbell ditched multiple members in our ward. I forgot how fun it is to run for your life and not get caught haha! The Van Hoose and Henderson families both had pretty excited kids and one of them screamed out, "Thank you Santa!!" Not quite the move ...

Hello to my family and friends!!  What an amazing time to be a missionary of the Lord! Each day is such a blessing and I'm so grateful to be a part of the Lord's work! Lets jump into the week shall we? Highlights/ happenings of the week: * We did chalk art at Joyner by writing some Bible verses and our number at the bottom letting people know we gave free Bible studies and to call us if interested. We had 3 people call us and we have Bible studies set up now! It was AMAZING!! * I went to put the key into the lock at our apartment and I noticed it was unlocked. I opened the door and walked in to see a few panels from our wall missing as well as all of our kitchen cupboards open. I walked into our bedroom and saw the light on in the bathroom, following a loud thud. My heart was racing and when I rounded the corner, our maintenance guy was walking around the corner at the same time and we scared the crap out of each other. I've never screamed so loud XD. Apparently he was do...

Xin Chào các bạn!!  We went to another districts district council this week and we had all the companionships role play different finding approaches.  I was door knocking, and I was catholic, and I was not gonna go switching my religion!  *knock knock knock*  The usual door greeting thing here*** Me: "I go to a catholic church down the road, and I am kinda really busy right now."  Elder Kim: "what if I told you that the catholic religion is not true?"  Me: ***how in the world do I respond to that!??!***  ....  "Uhh."  Elder Kim: **Goes off testifying of the book of mormon and how there are three different popes and other stuff that I can't remember inserted here.***  Elder Kim is a new missionary in New York right now. The last time he was in New York he was a missionary for the catholic church. His story is incredible! Now on to our amazing friend in Lynbrook who is also Catholic. He is very very hesitant about leaving what he kn...
