Tithing settlement
It’s time! Book your spot on Bishop Manwaring’s calendar 😊 The sign-up sheet is hanging on the clerk’s door in our church building.
Paying tithing is a blessing you don’t want to miss out on…
“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”
Malachi 3:10
“The imagery of the “windows” of heaven used by Malachi is most instructive. Windows allow natural light to enter into a building. In like manner, spiritual illumination and perspective are poured out through the windows of heaven and into our lives as we honor the law of tithing.”
Elder David A. Bednar
What we’re talking about
This Sunday, Scout Benson will lead us in a discussion of Elder Ciro Schmeil’s conference address “Faith to Act and Become.”
This will be Scout’s first time leading a discussion in RS! (Let’s do our part by reading this beautiful message ahead of the discussion…) We’re so excited to hear from her before she leaves to serve a mission in November.
What we’re reading
This week our Come Follow Me reading is D&C 121-123, ““O God, Where Art Thou?”
“Your experience studying the scriptures will be richer if your goal is to uncover truth. Begin with a prayer, listen to the Spirit, and record your impressions.”
Happy Birthday to you
