Xin Chào các bạn!!

We went to another districts district council this week and we had all the companionships role play different finding approaches.

I was door knocking, and I was catholic, and I was not gonna go switching my religion!

*knock knock knock*

The usual door greeting thing here***

Me: "I go to a catholic church down the road, and I am kinda really busy right now."

Elder Kim: "what if I told you that the catholic religion is not true?"

Me: ***how in the world do I respond to that!??!***

....

"Uhh."

Elder Kim: **Goes off testifying of the book of mormon and how there are three different popes and other stuff that I can't remember inserted here.***

Elder Kim is a new missionary in New York right now. The last time he was in New York he was a missionary for the catholic church. His story is incredible!

Now on to our amazing friend in Lynbrook who is also Catholic. He is very very hesitant about leaving what he knows best. (I mean who wouldnt??)

So we get permission to have Elder Kim join a lesson with our friend!

The spirit was incredible! Wow. I wish I recorded the lesson. But Elder Kim ended the lesson with this: the first day that he ever missed Mass was the day he went up during fast and testimony meeting and said that he knew the church was true.

The next day he was flown out to Korea and offered to be the next Bishop of South Korea for the catholic church. But because he knew what he felt he couldn't go through with it.

"Even if you have a sliver of faith, that is enough to get in the water." -Elder Kim

One thing I learned from this week and especially conference was give up your whole self to God. He is gonna do wonders and you will become the person you want to become.

"The greatest decision I ever made was giving up the thing I loved most, to the God I loved more."

What are you gonna give God??

And carry on, carry on, carry on!!

Love,

Chị Skinner

P.S.

Peep the picture that has all the reassigned missionaries from Vietnam in NY! Việt Nam mãi mãi!
