 PSA: Lock your car

One of our neighbors had her car stolen last week—taken from the garage! Be sure to lock your cars and be watchful and aware.

Wow, have you seen the update?

The updated home page on https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org is really nice!

Once you log in, you’ll see a personal dashboard view with inspiration, news bits, quick links, the Come Follow Me lesson link, stake events, and … a new gadget that makes temple work easier than ever— you can choose the ordinance you wish to perform and click Find a Name to get a family name if one is available.

If it’s been a while since you visited, you’ll want to check it out.

What we’re talking about

This Sunday in our RS gathering we will take the opportunity to share with each other the messages and impressions that touched our hearts. Don’t stress if you didn’t get to listen to every minute and make notes; we hope you’ll join us and enjoy hearing from those who found inspiration.

If you want a quick recap of the talks, you can check out the session summaries and announcements here.

What we’re reading

This week our Come Follow Me reading is D&C 111-114, “I Will Order All Things for Your Good.”

Be thou humble; and the Lord thy God shall lead thee by the hand, and give thee answer to thy prayers. D&C 112:10

Congratulations, soon-to-be brides

Alexa Kroneberger will marry her sweetheart, Cody Olive, on October 9. And Becca Hammond will marry her sweetheart, Austin Halls, on October 12. We’ve watched these beautiful young women grow up and bless the world in who they have become—we wish them good things ahead!

If you would like to contribute to a group gift for Alexa or Becca, please reach out to me.

A million meals

“One in five Utah children is unsure where their next meal will come from… As part of Silicon Slopes’ Tech Summit at the Salt Palace on Wednesday and Thursday, October 13-14, a unique service project will result in one million meals prepared for and delivered to the Utah Food Bank… the event is open to anyone who wants to help prepare and pack meals.”

Please see the attached flyer for more information.
