Hello everybody !! This was a banger week! Lots of good life lessons learned and opportunities to grow our faith was we wait on the Lord. A lot of people we were thinking we could have had baptized by now are not going the route we thought. This week has really pushed Sister Johnson and I to trust in the Lord's timing and put our concerns on the altar while we work knowing that all will fall together in HIS timing and in HIS perfect way. It's a tough lesson to learn sometimes, really frustrating actually but we feel at peace as we continue forward and have an attitude of gratitude for all the other amazing miracles we are witnessing. It's such a beautiful time to be apart of the growth in the church:)) Please keep praying for: Ernist: accept the gospel and come to church  Matthew: baptism  Avery fam: keep commitments and overcome the fear of judgment at church services  Hale fam: sweet kids will grow a love for the gospel and read the book of mormon each night...

Service Project  Oh hey!! Hows it going? Its going good out here :)) This week was a WET one. It rained and flooded and tornado warning-ed. Tornados were NOT something that I thought I would have to deal with in South Georgia but here we are. And I swear like once a week we have a major storm warning, or a tornado warning. And since no one in Southern Georgia has basements cause theyd sink, they also dont have tornado cellars. So... appartently we're supposed to like... get in the bathtub or something. So then we'd get to fly in a bathtub! Sounds like a good time to me. :)  This week was WILD!! We taught James the Gospel and Doctrine of Christ with Ernie by our side and it was POWERFUL. He further commited to baptism. And we taped the flashcards we made for him to the wall next to his literal coffee bar. So that he could remember God loves him and Christ is helping him through this addiction. From the day that I came and taught James the first lesson, coffee not something he f...

Heartache in Europe It's difficult to see the suffering and challenges of our brothers and sisters in Ukraine and Russia at this time. If you're interested in following the church's involvement in relief efforts, visit https://newsroom.churchofjesuschrist.org/article/church-refugees-europe.  Are you looking for a way to help? Through decades of experience in providing assistance during natural disasters, refugee crises and other humanitarian conditions, the Church has developed a tested and proven model for identifying needs and providing assistance. This model includes empowering local leaders to use the Church’s financial resources to purchase goods and services in the local economy to provide what is truly needed. Visit this link to donate to the Church’s humanitarian aid efforts. A beautiful expression of unity Thank you to all who expressed love through service and prayers on behalf of the grieving Crandall/Gammell families this past week. This is a tender time for s...

Hello wonderful people!! This week has been a good one... and a really sad one. Obviously.... my bellllooooovvvedddd Slashby has left me for Lake City and that was... probably the ugliest thing that she ever could have done to me. But its fine. Lake City just doesnt know how blessed they are to have her.  So this week some crazy things happened!! Like... Karley. :) Yall remember our friend Karley? Well we finally taught her the restoration! And she listened so intently and agreed with a lot of things. But she was unsurprisingly hesitant about some of the more... supernatural things. Having grown up in the church, God and Jesus Christ showing themselves to a fourteen year old boy in the middle of the woods... seemed pretty normal to me. And now its not a story to me anymore. It is reality. Jesus Christ and God the Father truly did come to Joseph Smith in the Sacred Grove. And I know that because the Holy Ghost has testified to me of its truth. And I will never again doubt it....

(I am sorry to get this out so late.  It has been a whirlwind at the Neel home right now.  :) Thank you for all your love and support for Alaycia!-Jeni) Hey guys!!  It's your favorite time of the week with your favorite missionary:))  We had an awesome week! Basically drove all over the mission but all for a good cause! Elder Sabin, a general authority, came for our mission tour this week and we got to hear from him through conferences and stake conference. He and his wife are such inspired individuals and brought such an influential spirit with them that touched our mission. It was worth all the 5 am wake up calls to drive 2 hours to Raleigh or Goldsboro;)) road tripping never gets old over here ;)) on Thursday we met with half the mission and had a conference with the Sabin's and Friday was mission leadership council (mlc) for the leadership where we all drove down to Raleigh to have a conference with the Sabin's as well. What a beautiful time of reflection ...

Hello everybody !!  This week was awesome! Definitely had its challenges and some rougher moments but the good so outweighed the bad and provided us some amazing experiences! Also, everyone's been emailing me about this and I think it's hilarious. To answer everyone's questions on a public email, yes, Kahanu Kia arrived last Tuesday and is officially serving in the NCRM. I'm sure he has paparazzi from Notre Dame trying to figure out where he's at but Fayetteville should keep him safe ;)) iykyk. Nothing like having the NCRM make the news once in a while :))  ☆ HIGHLIGHTS ☆ * we were in meetings everyday this week. Tuesday was stake leadership coordination with the stake and zone leaders, Wednesday was an STL meeting with sister Maurer and the sisters, Thursday was stake coordination with the stake high councilors, the stake presidency and the zone leaders, Friday was a meeting with President Maurer, the APs and the zone leaders so we could account for our zone, rev...

She is headed to Lake City, Florida to be an STL. (Which if you dont know what that means, it means a. that shes really cool. and b. that shes "in charge" of all the sisters in her zone. Exciting!!) I know she will be a WONDERFUL stl and i just wish she was mine!! But she will be greatly missed here in Waycross, by the people, and moooostly by me. :(( BUT!! My new companion is Sister Swain.   Hey guys!! If you can believe it or not another transfer has come around and we are preparing for some exciting things!! Sister Johnson and I are staying in little Washington together; this is her last transfer so I'm officially killing her off (missionary terms;)). Kinda sad kinda crazy but I'm excited to wrap up her mission mems! I also got the call from President to be an STL (Sister training leader!!) Basically for those of you who don't know what that is, two sisters lead out the zone with the zone leaders and help conduct missionary meetings, exchanges, mission leadership councils with leaders in the mission as well as president and Sister Maurer and the APs, have meetings with stake leadership each week and party it up as a zone as we strive for big goals. This calling typically lasts until the end of your mission.  I'm pretty excited! I got out of the car today when we met up with the elders and Elder Orr yells, "look at that stl getting out of that car!...

This week has been wild but this email will probably be short since.... Sister Ashby and I have been wrecking our district in a nerf war.  This week we went out contacting in the heat. We went to a house to visit a guy who had at one point been meeting with the missionaries. He didn't answer the door, but the next door neighbor pulled up on his fourwheeler looking.... aggressive. He asked us what we were doing and we told him. At first he was stand offish, but he started asking more and more questions. We started testifying of different things and he started to be more friendly. In the end he accepted a copy of the Book of Mormon, said he might come to church, and was interested in meeting with us!! Moral of the story, Christ can and will soften people's hearts. There is this old lady in our ward who is just the SWEETEST!! Her name is sister duke. We love her. She loves it when i sing for her, when Sister Ashby plays for her, or when we sing together. And she is always talkin...

Relief Society Activity! We had a wonderful time connecting with friends from the neighborhood and from the ward as it used to be 25 years ago! It was amazing seeing old friends reconnecting and reading letters that were written to them all those years ago.  We invite all of our current 7th ward members to write your testimonies of Jesus Christ and have them sealed up for 25 years from now for your children and grandchildren to read.  Who can know what kind of impact that could have?  We will be continuing to collect them until our next RS lesson on the 13th. What sounds good to you? The RS Activities Committee would really appreciate hearing your ideas about what you'd like to do... Would you take two minutes to share your thoughts in this survey ? What we’re reading This week our Come Follow Me reading is Genesis 28-33: “Surely the Lord Is in This Place.” Bonus material... did you see it?  Thoughts to Keep in Mind: The House of Israel Happy Birthday to you ·  ...
