Heartache in Europe
It's difficult to see the suffering and challenges of our brothers and sisters in Ukraine and Russia at this time. If you're interested in following the church's involvement in relief efforts, visit https://newsroom.churchofjesuschrist.org/article/church-refugees-europe.
Are you looking for a way to help? Through decades of experience in providing assistance during natural disasters, refugee crises and other humanitarian conditions, the Church has developed a tested and proven model for identifying needs and providing assistance. This model includes empowering local leaders to use the Church’s financial resources to purchase goods and services in the local economy to provide what is truly needed. A beautiful expression of unity
Thank you to all who expressed love through service and prayers on behalf of the grieving Crandall/Gammell families this past week. This is a tender time for so many in the ward.
It's almost time... for General Conference
General Conference will be held April 2-3. We can look forward to discussing the messages that reached our hearts when we meet together on April 10.
Note: As we adjust our calendars for conference weekend, the ward's fast Sunday will be this Sunday, March 26.
Congratulations!
We couldn't be happier for the Sumsion family as they get ready to celebrate Kevin's April 16 marriage to his sweetheart, Riley Reedy. If you would like to contribute to a group gift, please reach out to Jen Hammond.
A little local entertainment
Art City Elementary students have been working hard on their production of Frozen Jr. The play involves many 7th ward children, including Ryen Neel, Zoe Graham, Kaia Rickords, Amelia Goodman, and Morgan Whatcott. Performances will be March 24, 25, 28, 29 at 6:30 and March 26 at 3:00. Come enjoy the show with your family!
What we’re talking about
This Sunday, Amy Ossofsky will lead our discussion of Elder Bednar's talk "With the Power of God in Great Glory."
We are bound securely to and with the Savior as we faithfully remember and do our best to live in accordance with the obligations we have accepted. And that bond with Him is the source of spiritual strength in every season of our lives.
What we’re reading
This week our Come Follow Me reading is Exodus 1-6: "I Have Remembered My Covenant.”
You might wonder, Does God know what I'm going through? Can He hear my pleas for help? The story in Exodus of Israel's deliverance from Egypt answers such questions clearly: God does not forget His people. He remembers His covenants with us and will fulfill them in His own time and way (see D&C 88:68).
