Service Project

Oh hey!! Hows it going? Its going good out here :)) This week was a WET one. It rained and flooded and tornado warning-ed. Tornados were NOT something that I thought I would have to deal with in South Georgia but here we are. And I swear like once a week we have a major storm warning, or a tornado warning. And since no one in Southern Georgia has basements cause theyd sink, they also dont have tornado cellars. So... appartently we're supposed to like... get in the bathtub or something. So then we'd get to fly in a bathtub! Sounds like a good time to me. :)

This week was WILD!! We taught James the Gospel and Doctrine of Christ with Ernie by our side and it was POWERFUL. He further commited to baptism. And we taped the flashcards we made for him to the wall next to his literal coffee bar. So that he could remember God loves him and Christ is helping him through this addiction. From the day that I came and taught James the first lesson, coffee not something he felt like he had to give up. He was just like meh I like coffee more than all of you or what youre telling me. And that is something that happens a lot. But this week. He has changed. He WANTS to change. And I know that that is because of God. Because God has softened his heart just like He did in the Book of Mormon. And He gave him the desire to change. I KNOW that God does that because He has done that to ME. He has changed my heart which has changed my life. And I am watching God do the same to James. And it is magical. Gotta love the goodness of God :)

Champange is doing so good! We taught her the commandments and I was SO worried about teaching her about tithing. I- being human- judged too quickly her faith because of her circumstance. And she and the Spirit knocked my soggy rainboots off. Because she was EXCITED to pay tithing. We explained the commandment to her and she was over the moon about how tithing funds were used and she couldnt wait to contribute. And that taught me a good lesson. God in that moment taught me that I am in no place to decide what people will and wont do for the Lord. I am not the judge, God is. Christ is. I am a tool in the hand of the master carpenter, and tools dont decide what the product will look like. And so I pray to be the tool God needs, and Im grateful for His lessons, regardless of how... blunt they may be.

This week we finished out 65 day Book of Mormon challange!! let me tell you..... i have never read the Book of Mormon so fast. And reading it through, everyday my thoughts were "how could this NOT be true?" I have grown so much to love that book. The book that clarifies the Bible, that builds a bridge between the Old and New Testament, the book that brings me JOY and testifies of my Savior. I LOVE the Book of Mormon. I KNOW of its truthfulness. And I know that you can too. Read it. Do as Moroni asks. Read it and pray about it. If you really want to know, if you are truly sincere, He will tell you. It is true. I promise that.

I love yall!!!! Have an amazing week!!!
