Hello!! This week has been a wild one as always :) People in the south say that they are aggravated, or that its aggravating, all. the. time. but they say it like aAggravAtin. so if you want to attempt a southern accent, thats a good word to start with. :)  Lets start of with the craziest thing!! Remember the star of our week last week, Champange? Welllll... guess who is on bap date!! Champange is so wonderful and so committed and excited, she is preparing to be baptized April 2! So we are doing everything we can to get her there :)) We're so excited!! Our friend James hasnt been progressing much lately, but this week we had a breakthrough lesson. We talked about the plan of salvation, and about temple work. And the thought of being able to see people again and to be able to go to the Celestial kingdom really blew his mind. We invited him to pray about baptism, explaining that that was the next step towards salvation. And he said he would. So everyone pray really hard that J...

Wut up yall ✌ Tune in for a MIRACLE WEEK over here in Washington!! God really said "blessings upon you" cause this was a week in the mission I'll honestly tell people about forever. I love the grind and the grind loves me. I'm the companion that's known to fall asleep the minute my head hits the pillow. And it's hilarious because my companion will be talking to me and I'll try to fight the REM sleep and keep the convo going but I always wind up saying something hilarious or completely out of context. Missionary work does that to ya haha!! S/O to all my comps out there, our mems are truly too good ♡ ☆ HIGHLIGHTS ☆ * well this isn't really a highlight but sister nichols got emergency transferred since a sister missionary was going home early:((. The APs called us late Monday night and then we were on the road to Raleigh Tuesday afternoon. It was sad to see her leave but also exciting to see other missionaries that came down for the mini transfer and se...

Week 14: The Champange Miracles Goooood lovely Waycross afternoon my friends :)) I so look forward to Mondays. Talking to and hearing from yall really just make each week worth it. Much has happened in wonderful Waycross this week and I cant wait to fill yall in on the adventures of one Slashby and Susbenz. (thats our hotspot/superhero names if you were wondering.)  This week started off with an AMAZING trip to Lake City, Florida!! Last week President Wood asked EVERY sister in the Florida Jacksonville mission to come to Lake City, to have a sisters health conference!! And so to Lake City we did go! It was about an hour and fourty-five minute drive for us. But so worth it! Through green highways and past state signs, Sister Ashby and I ate fruitsnacks, a literal loaf of bread, and sang songs at the tops of our lungs. What a JOY am I right. The conference its self was just so good. We heard from a couple speakers about different health concerns both physical and mental. The c...

After Before... (My ZL cut off my hair??) Hey all!! This week was a slower one unfortunately with a lot of our people canceling lessons or plans shifting but I honestly can't complain! It provided us with a lot of time to grind on finding and we saw miracles from being in the right place at the right time. Lots of new people were found and we were able to talk to soooo many people and find those who were really in need of the gospel message. It was like God was placing them in our path one after the other and the inspiration kept flowing which street we needed to be on or which neighborhood we could knock the most doors. Honestly it's such a highlight of the mission to be led and guided by the Lord and literally see His hand in the work. The happiness that comes from it is so hard to explain but I can testify that spiritual highs are my favorite thing haha!  All right now for yalls favorite part of my email ;)) HIGHLIGHTS: * every Tuesday we go give service at eagles wings w...

♡♡♡ Happy valentines day you guys!!! ♡♡♡ Unfortunately there's not much to update on from last week because your girl got covid :(( we've been in quarantine all week and have been recovering the best we can. Thankfully I was the only one who was sick but my symptoms were bad enough I didn't start improving until Saturday evening, which thankfully after a week long quarantine, and a negative test Saturday evening and Sunday morning, it officially put us out and we are on the grind again! It's been a long week but here are some fun highlights: ☆ our sweet branch has dropped off so much food every night and kept us well fed. Its been a mini miracle  ☆ Sister Maurer was pretty worried and the first call she makes to check in on me, she gasped when she heard my voice. "Oh Sister Neel you sound awful!!" Hahaha but she was so sweet. We had a 30 minute phone call just catching up and her shedding her love on me while I was sick. She proceeded to call multiple times ...

For those of you who dont understand the email title... you clearly dont watch my facebook story. So 1. im a little hurt, but 2. Jesus gave second chances and im trying to be like Jesus so... ill put the meme in the pictures i send. Then youll ALL get it!!  HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!! Sunday was pretty much the best pre-valentines day I have ever had. And Im fixin to tell yall why. A couple of weeks ago Sister Ashby and I were just heartbroken realizing how many widows and widowers there are in our area/ward. (same thing) We had spent some time with one of our besties, who is a very recently widowed women, and realized this would be her first Valentines day alone. And that. Is so sad. So we had the thought to buy some flowers, and deliver flowers to all the widows in our area. And so we did. We ended up buying a couple of bouquets and deconstrucing them. Then we wrote a ton of little cards. The ones I wrote said "we reaaaally 'lilac' you!!" and then had 1 John 4:8 on th...

What's up ya'll?! Your girl's an official oldie in the mission now ;)) I HIT ONE WHOLE YEAR IN THE MISSION FIELD!!! 365 days of wearing Christ's name on my heart and 365 great life lessons were taught. Would I go back and do it over again? Absolutely. I am completely changed and riveted on my purpose not only as a missionary but a daughter of God. I seriously can't believe time is going by this fast! I'm soaking in every moment and setting big goals for these next 5 months! Only the best in the NCRM ;)) ‼️ BIG UPDATE ‼️ Cole was baptized on Saturday!!!! Because I am on the other side of the mission I had to zoom in but wow was that special!! Seeing him dressed in white and anxiously waiting to get into the font really proved to me how important missionary work is. How much joy it brings to others and the unifying covenants that bind us with God. Cole taught me some amazing lessons and helped me come to know for myself specific principles in the gospel that awa...

Yes ma'am i've reached it. Someone this week asked where i was from, and was surprised when I said Utah. I excitedly asked "do i sound southern?!!" "mmm no... you sound like you're from California." Dang it. So close and yet waaaayyyy too far. Someday Ill sound southern.  Hellllooo y'all!! This week has been a good one!! Starting off strong, we finished the Saints this week! I stronggggly encourage y'all you read it/listen to it because wow. This church is so true and perfect. The people aren't, but the gospel it. God is.  This week we met with our wonderful amazing Ernie. And he had a ton of questions about Abraham and Moses. Ernie was baptized one year ago!! And just last month we realized he had no idea what the Pearl of Great Price was. once introduced, he blaaaazed through it. And came with questions. And it was amazing. As i was answering his questions, i realized something. I had never read Abraham. I had only read some of Moses. How...
