I'm obsessed with Burt's Bees and the main factory is in downtown Durham so we checked it out! So cool! Ok wow you guys BIG BIG things have been happening here in Hillsborough!! Lets jump into the top 3 shall we?  Miracle #1: Last p day we were buying flash drives for our pictures and the Walmart worker, Darbs, happened to notice our apartment name on our keychain. He said he was from that same apartment complex which ended up getting us talking and we found ourselves on the topic of missionary work! Ha, imagine that ;)) he said he's an omnist (he believes all religions to be true) and we told him that he must believe in our church too! XD I guess he had heard a bit about us but never really took time to read the Book of Mormon. We offered to drop one off which he in turn accepted! We went over a few days later and he explained a lot of his beliefs which are very unique and unheard of. He does quite a bit of research with every religion he hears about so you could pret...

Sister Snooks and I are 4th cousins!! #exhangesforthewin Xin Chào bạn bè!  In case you were wondering:  Yes our friend Maria bought us another cake, this time almond cake and along with it 7 bottles of organic lemonade because she knows that I am a lemonade addict!  I wrote the baptismal invite in Vietnamese on my bathroom wall.  Found a coin from Thailand while doing service in the great city Woodside with our friend Dave! #everypiece of trash  And had one of my messenger friends get on me for blocking YouTube and trusting an old book more. (The book of Mormon)  But that's what I want to talk about today!!! The book of Mormon is claimed to be the most correct book on the earth!  We committed two of our friends this week to read from the book of Mormon everyday!  We read the introduction to 3 of our friends this week!  Our friend from Instagram said that she read the introduction to the BOM and wants to read the whole book, and she got...

You can browse for your new favorite outfit from 10:00 - 11:00am.  Also Saturday, the annual Drug Take Back This is a great time to clean out medicine cabinets, getting rid of expired, unused prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.  Unused and expired medications are a public safety issue, leading to potential accidental poisonings, misuse, overdose and when disposed of improperly contaminate ground water and soil.   our favorite kids ever!! after dinner they asked if they could put their masks on so they could hug us ♡ we LOVE the Diaz family  What's up everybody?!  Man this week was something else XD. The APs and vehicle coordinator sent us a fun email and explained that our mission as a whole went 26,000 miles over our allotted amount...insane right? Because of this they were now hounding down on miles even more and said that any companionship that went over their allotted amount for the month would get their car taken away. It wasn't even halfway through the month and sister Larsen and I were at 530 miles out of the 1000 we're given. Our closest member lives 20 mins away and our church building is 15 mins away. We eat with members every night and have to go to the church building multiple times to use the computer. Because of this it eats up our miles fast. With more than half a month to go and knowing the last two weeks of April were going to be insane with driving long distanc...

found this while tracting ;)) What a week!  I don't think I've ever had a stronger attitude to find people than this week. Sister Larsen and I spent double the amount of time Facebook tracting and cold calling. We finally found a prefix and area code that matches to our own and doesn't end up being landlines! Most of the people that answered were genuinely interested in hearing a scripture and wanted to meet with us again. Which was a huge turn around from the other cold calls we did! We found a few golden people who live outside our area but are excited for the few that we just added to our teaching pool! Speaking of which we weren't able to teach a whole lot of lessons this week. Most of them fell through.. again XD. Sometimes it's so hard but we keep the faith and re schedule!  Update on Jaw: he's working two jobs and is trying to help his wife learn English and get a driver's license which makes it difficult to meet with him but late at night he'll w...

~ HELLO EVERYONE! ~ Tomorrow is transfers and lucky for us sister Larsen and I are staying here in Hillsborough! In fact most of our zone is staying the same and we are all pretty excited!! I'm grateful for sister Larsen and all she's taught me as a trainer. We've bonded as close friends and are pumped to continue our grind to get hillsborough a popping place! President Maurer and the APs have a lot of faith in our work efforts and trust that come May, the teaching pool will have grown. He reminded us he only places specific missionaries in hard areas and knows our talents and skills will bless and prosper the land. Let's go hillsborough!! Speaking of which we were able to teach a less active lady named sister Allen. She still prefers to be called that which I think is super sweet <3 We did a recap of the restoration and asked her if she would start reading in her book of mormon again. We invited her to conference and she was so excited she wanted to invite most of h...

Hey all! I am so sorry that I have been really bad about sending weekly emails, but I am finally in Fresno! I absolutely love it here and love being a missionary. My companions are sister Winn and Sister Chambers, and I could not have asked for better best friends to be starting this work with. As soon as I arrived, they told me that they are the social media specialists for the entire mission, along with four other missionaries. We run the Fresno Instagram and Facebook pages, so make sure to go check them out! While running Facebook pages might sound like a breeze, I am very quickly realizing that it is not. We have meetings almost everyday with our moderators, admins, and project managers that have been assigned to get us up to speed on what progress looks like with all of the pages. There is a budget for running ads that we have to keep track of, spreadsheets with page likes, replies, and so many other things that I did not know were going to be a part of my mission! It's so e...

Xin Chào đội!!! It has officially been a transfer since I moved to Queens!??! How is that even possible!?? And I hit my half way mark on Thursday!😱 Slow down time!! This week was superb!! Here is a little highlight from each day! Monday: Glenda had her baptism interview and she met with President Chappell! We were able to join the last part of the interview when he asked her if she was ready to commit to Christ! When she answered "Yes!" The spirit filled the room!!! So grand!!! Tuesday: We dropped off a Book of Mormon to our friend Sheila this week and she was so excited and asked us to bring another one so she could read with her daughter!! She said that she loves how much it talks about Christ! Wednesday: My mom bought me a huge bag of chocolate! I love chocolate! Thursday: We called a former who just had a loss in her family, when we said a prayer with her we heard a chorus of "thank you!" And we realized we prayed for the entire family!! And weve been prayin...
