RS Newsletter 4/29/21

See you Sunday!

We’ve been given the “thumbs up” for in-person second-hour meetings. While we will continue to broadcast meetings for a period, all who feel comfortable meeting in-person are encouraged to do so.

In order for all the wards in our building to gather safely, our meeting times have been pushed back:

  • 2:00-2:30 sacrament meeting talks and songs:  https://zoom.us/j/94121827491
  • 2:30-3:00 the sacrament (not broadcast)
  • 3:00-4:00 second-hour meetings (1st and 3rd weeks are Sunday School. 2nd and 4th weeks are RS, EQ, YW, YM.)

BYU Women’s Conference:  I am a Child of God. His Promises are Sure

Who doesn’t need a little inspiration? Tune in! The April 29-30 conference is virtual and includes complimentary sessions as well as paid sessions. See the conference website for full details.

Save the date: May 15, Cinnamon Rolls and Conversation

We hope you’ll join us on Saturday, May 15 at 10:00 am for “Cinnamon Rolls and Conversation”… just an informal gathering to socialize in the sunshine and visit with sisters we haven’t yet met or haven’t seen for a while. We’ll meet at Contractor’s Park, across the street from the Brookside Manor (50 South 100 East).

The clothing swap – encore, please

We had a great time sharing all the fun clothes that came in for exchange last week. Thanks to all who donated, all who set up and cleaned up, and all who came and found items that would serve well in their own closets! (Shout out to the sister who shared that cool green jacket now hanging in my closet—I love it!) And at the end of the event we found an opportunity for the donations to go even further—they’ll provide the base for an upcoming, larger exchange hosted by the 10th ward.

Good news always welcome

March’s statewide food drive exceeded expectations. That’s good news. And there’s more good news in the attached JustServe report. Enjoy!

(I don't know how to post the report on this blog.  Sorry.  You'll have to check your email.)
