Dad went for milk. I picked up my son.  Kia ora. This week had some new changes. My dad left me to go up north and I picked up my son on thursday. So its all pretty exciting.  Tuesday: we went over to craigs per usual, and we had a good chat with him, he was sad to hear that Elder ORiordan was leaving. Later that day, we said some goodbyes to some families and it was all pretty good. This is also the night when transfer news came out and i found out that I was training. I thought that I wouldnt be becuase i never got a call from pres a few days prior and all the other trainers did, so maybe he just forgot to call me idk lol. Wednesday: we had dcm, played some jeopardy, our team got last place haha but it was still good fun. I also had an online trainers meeting, which was minimally informal but still good lol. In the afternoon we just said some more goodbyes to families. We had a car tho because we took it off an elder who had just gone home. Having the car was super nice, cuz...

Which speaking of anyway I can this week we had zone conference and we talked all about the story of the loaves and the fishes! And how our job is to just give what we can and so right after we had very little time and usually when we need to find but don't have too much time we do it by the apartment! This time however I really felt like we should go to the closest mrt station! So we biked the seven minutes over and parked at a different spot than usual! Which all ended up being perfectly led by the ...

Pride Bad No No No This week I learned how to say kangaroo in Chinese! Shoutout to my kangaroo buddy!! In other news: 🦷there were dentures falling out in Sunday school 🍸 there were drinks falling out of bike boxes 👣 we biked along the bike trail again! So pretty 💦we got a friend who wants to get baptized and said so in her first lesson 👵we played some get to know you bingo! Someone in our ward has gone surfing 🧭 we have started going liahona and trying to go in the direction the spirit guides us and one time it led us down this alley to a guy named davey who is going to meet with us again! 🎶 we have had a daily district theme song every day this week Other than that this week has been a busy week!! And I was so bad at journaling so sorry there`s not much to report on! But I do want to testify that God works through the simple and the broken and unqualified! And there are miracles everyday! Sorry I got very little time!! But I love you all!! And so does God!! Dont forget it! Sist...

Because Taiwan bu hui baobao🧐 Wow This week we were doing studies and I was trying to figure out how you would say I miss my mom's hugs in chinese in the most natural way. Finally we figured out 我很想念我媽媽的擁抱 (Mom I miss you!!) but then I asked my comp if she would ever say that and she laughed and said no because her mom doesn't hug her!!! Ah!! (No worries her mom really does love her a lot) but even after living here for over a year it still blows my mind how different the relationship culture is and this week it was especially apparent!! But anyway this week we had a lot of mothers tell us their trials with parenting and it was really eye-opening to see 1. how much God is really the perfect example of parenting and 2. WOW I'm so glad I'm not a mother yet:) We met with our relief society president and she told us a problem she was having with her grandson and even though she told us she wouldn't tell him she loved him we could see that she loved him so so so ...

The Halloween Heist🎃🥷 Good Evening, Afternoon and Morning everyone! What a week. There's really only one main event... and that is the HALLOWEEN HEIST. Now if you know where that title actually comes from youre a legend. But sadly it wasnt a fun heist... but a real one. We had. Zone Conference this week (which btw was very powerful) and during the conference we got a phone call from our bishop. He proceeded to tell us that the Chapel had been broken into and that our bikes were stolen. And boy was that true. Apparently Halloween Night some dudes tied up the security guard, cut the security system and broke through a door by drilling open a panel in the door. Then they cut the burglar gate. They were trying to find and steal the Solar Batteries for the new Solar panels we had... but since they couldn't find them on time they stole our bikes instead.  Interesting story neh? I know it ain't the story you usually get from a missionary but hey... this is South Africa. That...

!!! Be a disciple of Christ !!! Hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello everybody!!:)  Wow! What a fun time it has been! I have to say, I am loving being a missionary!  Honestly not too much difference here. I am still attending the temple nearly every day which is so cool. I worked my first temple shift on Thursday! I think I am going to love being a temple worker.  Simply being in the temple so much is so amazing. I am so incredibly blessed to be in the position I’m in.  I’ve learned so much there in the few short weeks I’ve been attending. Personal direction from the Lord for me, but also learning more about the covenants we make there.  I am so grateful for temples! And excited to spend even more time in the house of Lord:)...

Guy Fawkes Day 🧨💥🤯🎆🗣 Pics and flicks 📸  https://photos.app.goo.gl/TQ33C4d8unDGQ4xA6 Kia ora all yous wondeful peoples. Guy fawkes day is basically new zealand 4th of July. They sell fireworks from nov 1-5th and the night of the 5th is when everyone is supposed to shoot of the fireworks, but people just do it whenever they feel like it lol. There are vids of our fireworks on the google photos. Anyways, heres the week. Tuesday: on chewsday we had some lessons and stuff and we finally caught up with our south american friend Tiare (she kept cancelling on us for a month straight). But it makes sense bc she told us that her relationship with her hubby has basically gone to crap. He doesnt help take care of the kid or the house, so she basically is acting like a single mother. And she told us that if we was going to act like a single mother, she woild rather just be one lol. So shes saving up her $$ to move out in a few months. We asked her how we could help her but she is v...

No Matter the Outcome At an interview a couple of months ago my wise mission presidents wife said "sometimes miracles arent the big grand things like finding a new friend who is willing to meet with you or someone showing up to church, sometimes miracles are things that happen inside the missionaries. A shy missionary getting the courage to talk to people on the streets or that 'mighty change of heart'" And this week I want to share about one of those moments!! This week I had a question reverbarating through my head "why do the miracles I see seem to only get half way there"  There was a plethora of situations that rebounded a round and a round making me wonder if maybe my faith wasn't strong enough for what I would call a "complete miracle" and with a multitude of meetings this week I wondered if God would hear my silent plea.  He did. At six week follow up someone said these exact words "a miracle is a miracle no matter the outcome...

Cheese pumpkin cake 🧡🎃 GUESS WHAT!?!? 江姐妹 GOT BAPTIZED!!!! 江姐妹 is our friend that we put on date about a month and a half ago!! Her story is so so powerful! We taught her tithing about 3 weeks ago and she dissappeared and told us she just felt bad because there was no way she could follow it and it was so sad!! We prayed SO hard for her and then 2 weeks ago we went finding at a park and right as we were about to leave we ran into 江姐妹!We talked to her and then set up a time to meet with her and then we had a super spiritual lesson where she told us even more of her story and then put her back on date!!  It's been so so so cool to teach her and to see how much God and her family that has already passed away was in every step to help her get baptized! After teaching her I know that missionary work isn't only on our side our loved ones that are in heaven are working hard to help us and their loved ones!!  After she got baptized she kept saying today is so happy and she re...
