| The Halloween Heist🎃🥷 |
Good Evening, Afternoon and Morning everyone! What a week. There's really only one main event... and that is the HALLOWEEN HEIST. Now if you know where that title actually comes from youre a legend. But sadly it wasnt a fun heist... but a real one. We had. Zone Conference this week (which btw was very powerful) and during the conference we got a phone call from our bishop. He proceeded to tell us that the Chapel had been broken into and that our bikes were stolen. And boy was that true. Apparently Halloween Night some dudes tied up the security guard, cut the security system and broke through a door by drilling open a panel in the door. Then they cut the burglar gate. They were trying to find and steal the Solar Batteries for the new Solar panels we had... but since they couldn't find them on time they stole our bikes instead.
Interesting story neh? I know it ain't the story you usually get from a missionary but hey... this is South Africa. That's just how we role.
Missionary work wise it's been a Grind. It's been a challenge to find progressing people but we continue to endure until we do.
Well not much happened but I just thought I'd share this story. Until next time!
PS: Ya boy has been grinding the weights and has a new PR of 245 on Bench. Not to brag butttt💪
Love--- Elder Henness
Note from Pam: I might add they also beat up the Security Guard pretty badly in the “heist”. He is okay, and back at his post, but they did tie him up and pistol whipped him with the gun they held him up with. Also, you may have noticed a typo “that’s how they role” … I think he did that on purpose using role as is actual definition of “expected social behavior” as is not uncommon with these types of break-ins in his area unfortunately.
