Elder Gardner: 8/25/25
Kia Orana!
This week was amazing! Even though nothing too crazy happened i still felt very grateful for what we had done and more importantly what the lord had done for us and for our friends!
Some miracles:
Teaching a girl jahzara, she doesn't know anything about Christianity so we started from base 1 and that's my favorite. We talked about the Godhead and then later in the week her mom canceled the lesson cuz she got sick and she said this:" Thank you for understanding. She's in bed with hot n cold chills atm... she said to me.. I can't feel the holy spirit right now... hilarious." It is so so cool to see how Jahzara is thinking about the things we taught! Sad that she got sick tho haha
Had a very powerful lesson about the restoration with our progressing friends Danielle and Mila. They just always work on sunday so please pray for them that they can come to church
Our members are so awesome. They are always so willing to come to lessons at the last minute and they care so much about the missionary work. They share such amazing things at our lessons too!
While we were doing contacts, we were inspired to knock these 2 small houses that looked like vacation homes. Both the houses had super sweet Pilipino people and both of them wanted to learn more about the book of Mormon!
Our friend Eileen is coming close to baptism. We were focusing on the law of chastity as she was moving out from living with her partner this week. She also told us that she tried to drink less tea this week too! She only drank 3 cups that week instead of the 2 a day that she usually has! We didn't even ask her to do it yet, but she understood the importance of the word of wisdom which is awesome!
One of the mamas was turning 80 and she invited us to a dinner place that was really fancy and really cool. It had a buffet and a dance show. It was an awesome experience and im very grateful to have gone, but i will never be going back because it took way to long haha.
We tried having a lesson but our friend Ta'i wasnt home. We were talking to Ta'i wife tho and she was sick. The papa that we brought with us asked her if she wanted a blessing. She was a bit hesitant, but after we gave her the blessing she talked about how much she could feel the spirit. That was awesome to see her heart softened by the power of the priesthood and the holy spirit.
Anyways that was the week. We just finished bball with the phillipinos. They are so kind even tho im clapped at bball haha, its really fun tho. Im excited for this next week! Let me know how yous are all doing! Ka kite!
