Elder Gardner: 8/18/25
Kia Orana! E inangaro au kua meitaki kotou!
I hope you all have been doing well! This week was very busy and full of miracles, but i will just highlight one.
So a few weeks ago i was on a mini exchange with one of the Elders who usually serves on Mangaia (which is another island in the cook islands). We were going around knocking doors and came across a piece of land that had a big house and a little shed type house in the back. We knocked the big house and no one was home and then we tried knocking the shed house, because you never know what someone is living in out here lol. Well no one was in the shed house either and so we juat assumed it was a shed and moved on.
1 week later as we were biking by i saw that there were people walking in and out of the shed house, and they had cars outside the house. I had a feeling that we would have to go back sometime later.
Yesterday we went and picked up some fish from a member and on the way back home i saw 2 cars parked outside the shed house. At that moment i heard the holy ghost so clearly in my head telling me to go visit that house. I made excuses with myself and tried to push away the prompting, but it was living rent free in my head.
So we dropped the fish off at the chapel and i told my companion that we would have to go back to a house that i was prompted to go to. So we went and the whole time we were biking there i had this thought just playing in my head where we would talk to some guy at the shed house and give him a book of mormon.
We got to the shed house and knocked on the door and this indian guy opens and we start talking to him. We talk about our beliefs and then share a verse in the Book of Mormon. We give him a copy of the Book of Mormon invited him to read the introduction. We scheduled another lesson and then left.
Never in my life have i heard the Holy Ghost so clearly and seen the Lord direct me to do his will in such an exact manner. I am so grateful and humbled to have been made an instrument in the Lords hand at that time in finding that guy. I dont know what the Lord has planned for him or how he will progress in the gospel but I do know that the Holy Ghost spoke to me yesterday and directed me to do good. For that I am truly grateful.
E inangaro au meitaki epitoma kotou! I hope you all have a great week! ka kite!
