Sick but seeing miracles
Kia Ora kotou katoa!
This week was pretty good! We had lots of stuff go on and we had heaps of people at church which is always crazy but super fun!
- not much went on for tuesday except we had our first meeting with our newly called ward mission leader. He and his wife are on top of it which is great. Were super keen to work with them!
- we also went and had some nice thai food for dinner cuz a sweet member gave us some cash
- wed was average. We had a lesson with our newly returning part member family. We were told to not push them to hard so we just shared a lil message and had a good time
- thur we had interviews with pres. This was prolly my fav interview that ive had so far in the mission. We just had a good chat
- after that we had an exchange. I went with our DL and we just knocked in the rain for a couple hours lol. But it was super dope. We found some friends for their area which was sick
- fri we had zone con. But i had the flu. I was a bit feverish and had a sore throat but zone con a was pretty chill so it was algood. We had a nice testimony meeting and the departing elder talked for ages lol nah but it was good
- after zone con i was pretty cooked so i just stayed in bed and fell asleep early as
- sat we woke up and drove out into the mountains to give someones house a blessing. We had a member there who did a bunch of maori stuff too so it took a while bc this family had just came to church for the first time in ages last week. The mum said her kids want to come to church and so they have 4 unbaptized kids that we get to teach now! Thats super clutch
- we did our weekly planning and then made a bunch of visits the rest of the day
- sunday church was super busy. One of the neighboring branches was shut down bc there was no water so heaps of their members came up here. We had some friends come to church for the first time too which was a blessing to see.
- after church we had a lesson w the bro kylan and his younger brother. Kylan is praying to have the courage to tell his dad that he wants to be baptized cuz his dad is lowkey an opp so pls pray for kylan. We taught his brother how to play and then we cooked them all in shadow boxing
- today for p day we hiked a mountain and then got some lunch and we all chilled at the chapel. It was pretty good!
Overall it was a good week. The work here is definitely picking up little by little and so im having heaps of fun. I reckon ill stay mext transfer so hopefully ill be able to see some of our friends progress.
Mosiah 3:13 says
And the Lord God hath sent his holy prophets among all the children of men, to declare these things to every kindred, nation, and tongue, that thereby whosoever should believe that Christ should come, the same might receive remission of their sins, and rejoice with exceedingly great joy, even as though he had already come among them.
I think highlighting the fact that we have prophets is one of the most important parts of when we teach the restoration. The prophets are what help me know that i am doing Gods will and following his plan ser forth by his chosen leaders. Prophets are sweet as
Ka kite ano!
