Rough first day for new Comp

Kia ora e te whanau!

This week was transfers! I got a new comp, his name is elder cox. Hes been out for a bit now so the work should be good. The area is coming along pretty good. He had a rough first day out in the area, but ill get into that later lol.

- on tuesday we went to an early lesson with a lady named jess. We taught her a little and then reffered her to the missionaries in her area, turns out shes already a member lol even tho she said shes never been baptized

- we also went to a members home and taught some of the unbaptized kids there. They were pretty wild but it was fun

- we ended the day and we got transfer news that I would be staying in mangere and my comp would be leaving

- Wednesday morning we had a district meeting and then we all got lunch together. We went to a nice burger place and played some chess.

- nothing else exciting happened except some packing for elder dougherty

- thursday we got ready and dogherty got picked up while i waited with another elder for my comp to come

- when elder cox got here he did some unpacking and then we had some lunch and got out to work

- that night we went to this indian couple that ive been to before but this time they wanted us to come and bless their house. When we got there the lady gave me a gita which is badsically the hindu scriptures. Ive been searching for months for a gita so i was pretty stoked. You already know we gave a fire blessing on that home too

- friday we had some weekly planning and then we went and did some contacts. 2 crazy things happened to us today:

1. We walked past a dude who was bleeding everywhere because he had just gotten beat up

2. We were talking to some kids that we had taught in the past and some really angry dude called us pedos and cussed us out

- so friday was a pretty wack day. I think it shook elder cox up pretty good cuz it was only is 2nd day in the area. Def a warm welcome haha

- saturday morning we found some people that needed their lawns done

- we had some good visits and we had some nice butter chicken for dinner

- sunday was good, after church we meet with this part member fam to follow up with their visit at the temple open house. We taught the plan of salvation and the unbaptized husband had some great questions abt adam and eve and the spirit world. It was really cool to see lightbulbs go off in his head when we answered his questions and i bore the fattest testimony of the spirit world and the temple. A 10/10 lesson and so hopefully we'll continue to teach them and help the husband work towards baptism, cuz he seemed to be thinking abt it. Oh yeah also the family used to be the in last ward that i served in so we had a cool connection there

- we had some other visits n stuff and then we ended the night at a less active fam and the husband expressed some concerns abt jehovah vs jesus christ. Idk he wasnt to clear abt it, but well talk with him some more and help the bro out

- today was a good p day, we hiked in the morning and then went to the driving range and called fam at the chapel.

Sorry no spiritual thought cuz i already wrote a whole essay. This should be a good next transfer, its only 5 weeks so it will prolly fly by but we'll try and smash out some work. Arohanui!
