Elder Gardner: 2/24/25

This week was pretty good. The auckland temple is about to open up next week so im keen for that. We've found some more friends so hopefully they will progress. Heres the rundown

- not much on tuesday just did some finding and some visits

- Wednesday was pretty average too. We had our ward council meeting that night and there was a little argument between some of the members lol that was funny

- thur we went over to cori and talked abt what he belived just to gain more understanding. He said he remeber hearing about the spirit world when he went to church but he doesnt really remeber so we gave him some homework to study up on the spirit world

- also played charades to help out with one of our new members and his baptism follow up lessons. Hes 11 and pretty funny

- friday we met someone named junior, he might be the son of some less active tongan members so he may be baptized already. We are gonna go back on tuesday and find out

- we had our game night at the chapel. It was something that the missionaries before us did. We had some people come so we played some games and some pickleball

-Saturday morning we were going to a lesson with a columbian family who lives right next to cori. When we were walking there, we saw some JWs talking to cori at his house so we'll see what happens with that lol

-our lesson with the columbian fam went good and they seemed to be interested 

- also got a call from our relief society pres who said that there was an old lady who just got put of the hosptial who is a member but she lost her records so we went over and talked to her and were gonna set up some lessons so we can get her re baptized. We also mowed her lawn that night with the help of a member 

- church was good on sunday. The sacrament was a W as always

- a member took us to do some visits to some part member families and that went well

This area has been pretty good. Im def warming up to it and we are starting to get a little more work. The transfer has been going fast which is good. We heard a rumor that we might move in with the tongan elders and also be in a trio training a new missionary. We havent had any real news abt it tho so I think it was just a silly rumor. Here is a scripture that I liked this week.

3 Ne 17:18-20

18 And it came to pass that when Jesus had made an end of praying unto the Father, he arose; but so great was the joy of the multitude that they were overcome. 

19 And it came to pass that Jesus spake unto them, and bade them arise. 

20 And they arose from the earth, and he said unto them: Blessed are ye because of your faith. And now behold, my joy is full.

I like how jesus is full of joy when he sees that the nephites are all full of joy. Thats def where I find my joy in missionary work. So if youre feeling down, go help someone out and i can assure you that you will feel better after.
