Elder Gardner: 12/24/24

Kia ora, this week will probably be a shorter email becuase my last P day was only like 4 days ago. Anyways, we can get right into it.


- Wednesday we went to the temple, it was good to see the other missionaries and also feel thr spirit at the temple. If you havent gone this christmas season you should go. Also the ice cream after was tasty.

- english class Wednesday night was super fun. Lots of ppl brought snacks so we all had a good time


- thursday we had a nice dcm.

- we knocked some random doors and we were led by the spirit to a less active samoan family and also a phillipino couple that we were able to teach to

- at Brownies that night we watched and general conference talk after we ate. We chose a random one called 'Beauty for ashes' by Kristen Yee oct 2022. It was a super good talk and it turned out to be just what Brownie needed to hear. The spirit let us to helping her out with just what she needed so that was cool


- friday we had a nice meal with cristine and antony. She let me borrow a couple books that her friend wrote and she and antony are mentioned in some chapters so i read those that night.

- weekly planning on friday

- we had some sucess door knocking so that was cool. Met a nice fijian lady who talks heaps


- saturday was slow. Lots of study in the morning. 

- Lunch was an at home KBBQ with a member which was cool

- went to Nicholas with the sisters and talked more about god. He still pretty firm on being an atheist even tho hes reading a lot of the BoM

- ward christmas party sat night. Lots of fun. A couple of our friends came, but none of the friends that are really progressing :(


- sunday was nice. We had a last minute notice for ward council so we showed up 15 mins late

- our friend linda brought heaps of food for the members after sacrament meeting which was really nice. She still kind of creeps me out tho.

- we sang the prelude in church. I think they chose us to go first to make all the next musical pieces to sound better

- met up with a refferal who was cool and so we slapped him on as a new friend



Thats about it. Christmas is coming up which is super exciting. Its kind of nice that we have a sunny christmas becuase it makes it easier to deal with the thoughts of christmas back home becuase it doesnt even feel like christmas lol. This week was a great week for the KIs which i would call a christmas miracle cuz our KIs are usually pretty lacking in this area. Numbers dont determine a missionaries success tho, so it dont even matter. Anyways heres a spiritual thought:


“As we attend the temple, there can come to us a dimension of spirituality and a feeling of peace. … We will grasp the true meaning of the words of the Savior when He said: ‘Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you. … Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid [John 14:27].’”

I have definitely felt so much peace this last time I was at the temple. I would advise you to keep going to the temple. Even if it doesnt make sense, or if you havent had a grand spiritual experience, just keep going. You will see the blessings that come from the temple in due time. I have a testimony of the joy and peace that comes from the temple as you make it part of your regular schedule.

  7/21/25 Sorry i dont have much time tonight. This week was amazing.  - temple on tuesday was awesome - healing from my infection in my leg and im cleared to still go to raro on thursday - lots of lessons this week - exchanges with the APs - lots of spirit felt and testimony grown of the saviors atonement  - ward conference - amazing lesson to set a baptismal date with your friend nate - district FHE with mission president and his wife to celebrate us winning in our challenge this transfer As a mission we just hit our baptismal goal for 3 transfers in a row now. With the goal increasing drastically each transfer. It is amazing to see the Lord progressing his work here in auckland and i feel very blessed to be a part of it. I gave had a strong testimony building week and i am on a spiritual high. I really want to keep this going and keep relying on the lord in all things! I have loved this transfer and the many hardships have made it a very special transfer in my mission....

 Bike Problems Kia Orana Sorry i got no time for this email. This week was awesome as always. We found lots of new people which is always exciting. We had lots of bike problems this weekend and i also crashed on the bike lol. Anyways, in keen for this next upcoming week. We are gonna be pushing yo get a lot of ppl at sacrament so they can see the blessings that come from it! I'm loving my area, the branch is awesome, everyone is so sweet and God is good! Ka kite!

  Happy Tuesday morning!! ☀️☀️ it’s a lovely day so far:) Ok! So here’s an experience I have been feeling like I want to share with you all: Maybe a week ago? Ish? I was in the temple for to do initiatories. I can’t remember if I had an appointment or I was just walking in… I think I was just walking in.  The PCC temple has a really good system for helping people who walk in w/out an appointment be able to do initiatories. However after they got my name and all that jazz they asked me to sit in the front area where the desk is instead of in the back near the booths bc the benches back there were full. This was sorta upsetting to me, I had gone that day really hoping to be able to feel the spirit. But being up there near the desk meant I had to try and tune out all the happenings and chatting there. Recently I’ve discovered that when I’m anxious I can get pretty sound sensitive. So if there’s any noise going on it can completely overwhelm me with anxious thoughts.  I start...
