Peanut Butter and Prophets

This week we made these brownie cookies in our toaster oven with weird oil and by themselves they tasted not yummy!! But with the peanut butter they were so good!! Peanut Butter just makes everything better!! And you know what else does that? Jesus! Let me give you a few examples!!!

This week we...

• Had to plan Wednesday twice and then didn’t follow the plan at all
• Tried to follow the Elders, on our bikes, in skirts, in wind, dodging pink plastic bags as we went! We lost that battle and the pink bag had to be torn out of the gears! So it lost too don't worry
• Biked thirty minutes having about half a brake working #wedidntdiesoitsallgood
• The above wind was caused by a typhoon hitting taiwan! Luckily it wasn't too bad in our area but did mean more knocking in the rain and a whole day stuck inside!!
• Had a lady tell us the way she felt the spirit was through worshipping idols 拜拜
• Had a friend read Moroni 9:5 For so exceedingly do they anger that it seemeth me that they have no fear of death; and they have lost their love, one towards another; and they thirst after blood and revenger continually
• Instead of Moroni 10: 5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things

All of these experiences felt a little like brownie cookies with a weird aftertaste

But Jesus loves me so he added lots of peanut butter

Because this week we also...

• Taught the falling away using jenga blocks
• Had a lady taught by the missionaries five months ago show up to our church and say she wants to get baptized! (We had to pass her off but that was cool)
• Elders fixed my brakes! And came back for us after we battled with the pink bag!!
• My friend from 新莊 went to the temple and in the last week one of my friends from 木柵 and one of my friends from 八德 got baptized!! It was such a testament that no effort is wasted!!
• Do you remember he cute girl we found last week who skipped away from meeting with us? Yeah she was not able to meet because she was sick! but in the middle of hundreds of people while finding we ran into her! And she had a rough day and we were able to sit down and teach her about Jesus Christ and she was able to teach us about the hope that comes from Him!

I'm telling you Peanut Butter and Jesus what else do you really need? 

 

Actually one more thing: General Conference!!!!!

I actually haven't been able to watch it because of time differences and languages but if you haven’t watched it you should go watch it!!! And if you have tell me about your favorite talk and what you're going to do because of it!!

As I have been studying the words of President Nelson I came across a talk that describes EXACTLY what he's been doing for us! He says this about Captain Moroni helping his people in times of war:

"So, Moroni prepared his people in three essential ways. First, he helped them create areas where they would be safe—“places of security” he called them. Second, he prepared “the minds of the people to be faithful unto the Lord.” And third, he never stopped preparing his people—physically or spiritually."

Lemme explain 一下

First President Nelson is also helping us to create places of security!! Not only has he announced 185 temples around the world (50.4% of all the temples) he has also urged us to make our homes a place of peace and rest repeatedly! Especially through Come Follow Me！

Second President Nelson is preparing our minds to be faithful unto the Lord! He has invited us to think celestial, let God prevail, and be peacemakers! 

Third he never stops preparing us! He is urging us to gather scattered Israel! And just the fact that he is 100 years old still talkng at conference proves that this servant of the Lord is "never going to stop preparing his people"

The calamities of this time are real but we need not fear because we have a prophet of the Lord leading and guiding us!! He is literally the mouthpiece of God on this earth! Isn't that so cool!!

God loves us us much he gives us peanut butter and prophets!!!
