| I think the rat wants to be your friend 8/12/24 |
This was my opening line to a man who took my book of mormon and said he would come to church, 《I think the rat wants to be your friend 》
But in French obviously. He thought it was funny because the rat was jumping around his feet
Another good line I used this week:
"Is your dog nice "?
"Yes"
(The dog was not nice)
Ow
The dog bit me and my comp lol.
I love being a missionary and hitting 9 months was wild
Love you all !

| a transfer of miracles and prayers 8/19/24 |
Hello all you BEAUTIFUL people
I hope you're all doing well and have had an amazing week
This transfer has come to an end and it's the end of my lille/northern France era because I'm going back to Paris ! Something my companion and I have been doing this transfer is at the beginning of each week we would set a miracle goal, something that our area and friends needed to keep progressing, that would really push us in our faith and work. We would pray for this miracle in every prayer and every time, we saw miracles. It wasn't always accomplished the way we wanted it to be but there was always a miracle by the end of the week. This week we set a baptism date for our friend Jawed who started meeting the missionaries a long time ago to do research and then with time, he found a love for the people in the ward and for the simplicity of the gospel that he was learning. he is really looking forward to first, being cleaned from the past, and going to the temple.
The only bummer is that I have gotten into the habit of setting baptism dates right before getting transfered...
I'm going back to Paris ! I'm going to évry which is very far south in paris.
Anyways Im so sad to leave Lille because its so magical here. The people are incredible, the cheese is stinky, and the weather is already fall here.
but before I leave I wanted to share a story from my friend Pauline !
Her story;
she saw something about how baptism by immersion changed the life of someone she was in contact with through social media so she researched churches near her and found about the church of Jesus Christ and so she found the church website and called the elders whose number is on the website. She was baptized a couple weeks ago and in her testimony she told the story of how she decided to get baptized. What made this really special is that she hadn't told anyone this story until she got up to bear her testimony after she was baptized. She said that about 1 year ago she was at the metro stop right next to the church and she just felt so lost. Around that time a little bit after she had a dream/vision of a door opening up to a tree, and she said the tree was so beautiful and bright. She said she knew in her dream that through this door, she would find the path that God wanted for her. Anyways, she always thought about this dream she had, and she had no idea what it meant. So, later, when the elders were teaching her they felt prompted to read 1 Nephi 8 with her, about Lehi's dream with the tree of life, and she knew it was the tree she saw in her dream!! Anyways, she decided she wanted to get baptized, and then the day of the baptism the elders were showing her where she would go to get to the baptismal font, and when she saw the door to the font she froze, and the elders were confused why. Then when she was bearing her testimony she started to cry and said that the door to the font was the same door she saw in her dream, that was opened up to the tree of life. She knew then that this was the path that she wanted to take.
She's already helped us in a lesson and she is so full of spirit. She went to the temple and did work for her grandpa.
Pauline felt seen by God through her experience and she is touching the hearts of the people around her. Her story reminded me of God's love and that's why I wanted to share it with you !
Love you
God loves you
