Elder Acor: 7/1/24
Well everyone this will be my last weekly email! It feels so weird that it's all ending after writing weekly emails for two years. This week has been a blast so I'll give you a run down on everything that happend!
Last P-Day we went to Caaguazú which was really fun because we went with the rest of the zone. It was pretty fun. After it was awesome because I was able to go visit some members that I love from Caaguazu.
Tuesday I was able to have my last district council, or my funeral. Then I went and did exchanges with Elder Pickett from Nevada. We worked in Villarrica and we honestly had such a good time. It was pretty cold.
Wednesday was a day where I packed everything up and we went to a FamilySearch activity with our branch. It was really fun and we got to eat lots of empenadas. After a member took us out to eat!
Thursday I got to eat burgers with the Gomez family who always feed us a ton. Then I went to the mission office and slept there.
Friday was literally one of my favorite days in my entire mission. All the missionaries going home got together in the morning here in the mission office. I got to have my last interview with Presidente Faúndez. After that we had a group testimony meeting which was so cool. We then headed to the temple. I can not explain to you how strong the spirit was just on the temple grounds. Then we took pictures outside. We then did an endowment session and it was so awesome. I am so excited to be able to go to the temple more often. After the temple we went to a really fancy restaurant, and that was out day.
Saturday I went and worked with the zone leaders who are close by the office. That was a blast because I got to go with one of my old comps, Elder Richards. We worked super hard and had a good time. We actually were un a quad which was hilarious. We had a Brazilian asado which was very good.
Sunday we stayed here in the office and went to church here. It was a really nice. It didn't feel as weird as last week though because it wasn't my own ward. We ate lunch with the whole ward and that's when I got to know the new mission president, Elder Calderwood. He's so cool and really fun to talk to. He's super intelligent and has such a strong testimony. He's going to be a great mission president. The rest of the day was like a normal chill Sunday. We played some card games and talked. Then president Calderwood invited us to the mission home to eat dinner. It really felt like a normal Sunday dinner with the family. It was awesome.
Today for Pday we've donde lots of fun things like buying souvenirs, food, playing sports, just with like eighteen missionaries. It was a really fun day today.
Well that was everything for my last week! Sorry if that was everywhere because this week was just a little crazy, but it was so fun.
So that's everything for my mission. This will be my last weekly email and it seems so crazy. I have loved the mission so much and my appreciation for my mission has grown even more this last week. I wish I could have some amazing thing to say but simply I know this is the Church of Jesus Christ. I know that The Book of Mormon is true and that thanks to my covenants I can live with our Heavenly Father and families forever.
Thanks for always reading my emails. I love you call and I'll talk to you all soon!
¡Adiós!
Love, Elder Acor
