¡Mi Cumpleaños!
¡Hola a todos! ¡Les quiero un montón!
I hope you all had an amazing week this week! Mine was a lot better with so many miracles and blessings. It was also my birthday which was a huge plus!
Starting off the week wasn't the best because I was still feeling pretty sick to my stomach but definitely on the end half of the sickness. We were able to do some exchanges with out DL and his comp so that my comp could leave the house and work. It was a very chill day.
I woke up Wednesday and I was feeling good so we went out and worked. We passed by tons a people but they're weren't a lot of people to teach. We did have a good meeting on missionary work with our branch mission leader.
Thursday was better. It was actually a ton better because it rained buckets and that means it cooled off a ton! We left in the morning and ended up getting completely soaked! It was fun though, making some good memories. We had our weekly planning in the afternoon so luckily that allowed for the storm to pass so when we left to work there wasn't any rain. It did end up dropping like forty degrees which was an amazing blessing. Huge blessings as well we were able to find some new people to teach!
Friday was a solid day! We got to have a really good lesson with a referral from a member with the member. His name is Angel and we will little by little keep teaching him and help him grow a testimony. He's really good friends with he member so that'll be a great help!
Saturday was a really day because it was full of lessons and things to do! Sadly some set lessons fell through but I got creative and we were able to visit some people we haven't visited in awhile and they really appreciated us passing by. We finished night heading to our first councilors house and having Mbejú and Cocido. I've explained what these things were before but I'll do it again. Cocido is super yummy and it's made with the yerba they use in their mate and tereré. Then Mbejú is just like yummy cheesy...yeah that's the only way I can explain it. It looks like a pancake but it's not a pancake.
Sunday was my birthday and it was a party. We went to one of my favorite member families and we ate milanesa de pollo. Then we ate cake and it was a blast. We also got to go visit Mirian with a councilor in the Relief Society. It was super awesome and Mirian was very happy to have the visit. Then we went to a youth activity at the chapel and that was fun to help set things up. Then I got to call and talk to my family which was awesome!
This morning I got My Plan so I don't know how to feel about that. I also now have less than one hundred day left in the mission which feels crazy.
Something I learned a lot about this week is the importance of communication. With others and with out Heavenly Father. If we aren't talking, listening, or sharing our thoughts we become very alone, and many times very frustrated. It's important that we can communicate so that others can understand us. No one can read our minds. I do think the most important communication is with our Heavenly Father. When we talk to him and really share with him I truly think I can understand us better. Heavenly Father already knows us perfectly but he want to hear from you. He want to hear your struggles your victories everything. So that he can help you more. So talk, share, laugh, cry, anything really with others and our Heavenly Father and see the difference it makes. It will help you feel more understood and loved. I can promise you!
Well this week was really good! Don't get me wrong, it wasn't perfect, but it was much better than last week. I'm super happy that we are still having success in this area and that the members are helping us! Love you all and I hope that you have an amazing week!
¡Chau, Chau!
Love, Elder Acor
