HELLO!!

Hi! I am so very sorry for not sending an email for the last *very long time* a LOT has happened haha!

I had a whirl of a time last transfer. There is a lot of money in the general Rocklin area especially among the members of the church. I have been in the absolute bougiest of homes and yet each person I met in the Rocklin 1/6 wards was so extrememly kind and giving and willing to help us with whatever we needed. The members in the 6th ward are some of my very favorites from my whole entire mission. I will miss them lots. and the people we were teaching. We got to help our friend Shaundra realize that she needs to grow her relationship to Jesus Christ and she has begun to think about baptism. We also grew close with a family that has always known about our church but also has strong ties to their own church and we were able to help them find truth in the Book of Mormon.

but now.... I am in the Rocklin YSA!!!!!! IM BACK WITH MY PEOPLE. I absolutely love those single 18-30 year olds and I am so stoked to serve with them for the next month at least. My companion is sister Godfrey and she spent the first 6 months of her mission in Illinois serving at the Nauvoo historic sites and is now in Roseville for the winter. We are having a blast she has the best sense of humor and she is super fun. We are partying it up because we live with members and they feed us allllll the time.

This week was one of the most unique of my mission. We had a mission tour visit from Elder and Sister Ojediron of the 70. They did a fabulous zone conference on Tuesday and afterwards I was completely spiritually exhausted.  The theme of his talk was to go to work! leave all the little details up to God and He will provide the neccessities to everything else. we then got to take sister ojediron and sister basha to a lesson with our friend Attikus and the spirit was very strong! he said he wants to get baptized! please pray for him!

We topped off the week with the ojedirons and the bashas coming to visit our recent convert deirdre who got baptized a couple weeks ago and it was so special because she is a quadrapalegic and Elder Ojediron was instrumental in making sure she could get baptized. She kept saying "tell president Nelson thank you for me" it was so very sweet.

It was so sad to hear of elder ballards passing and I was able to watch the funeral today. He was one of my very favorites and his book "our search for happiness" really helped me grow my testimony before my mission.

HAMS TREEZ AND RACCOON

Happy thanksgiving!!! I hope you all had some super tasty food and showed gratitude for your many blessings!

This week we challenged our paraplegic recent convert to text us something she was grateful for every day. On Saturday she told us it made a big difference in the way she treated herself and her caretaker and she felt happier. It was so sweet and we absolutely love her commitment to try the things we ask her to do. Her faith is so incredible especially with everything that has happened in her life.

On Tuesday we put our friend attikus on date to be baptized on December 18th and he is so excited to enter into a covenant with God! We told him he was ready and he was like okay let's do this :)

Thursday we had an amazing thanksgiving/Chinese dinner with a ham and mashed potatoes and egg rolls. We also deep cleaned our apartment (we live with members) and I SCRUBBED that moldy shower to death and its still gross. Thanks mom for teaching me how to clean like it's the end of the world 😁

Friday we got to spend most of the day decorating presidents house for Christmas and I started a little war with p basha and a creepy elf doll we found in the decorations

Later that night I was driving home and all of a sudden I hit a huge bump. we turned around to see what it was and there was a raccoon jumping and seizing around...... I literally could not speak and my comp just burst out laughing and it was everything I could do to not throw up. that was like the most traumatic thing ever and I could not think at all the rest of the night. AND THEN as we were getting ready for bed there was a big shmack on the door and when I opened it there was the creepy elf doll! and then the AP's jumped out and scared the crap out of us! so now we are at war with the elf. his name is jack.

On sunday one of our friends cancelled our lesson and then later was like actually let's do it and we talked about reading the scriptures and he committed to actually read the scriptures this time! lots of good moments and lots of weirdness. gotta love that missionary life.

I challenge you all this week to really focus on what jesus would do!! and then do it!!

love and miss you all! happy holidays!

Love and miss you all bunches!
