 Transfers and Hospital visits

¡Hello Everyone! ¿Haupei?

Wow this week was insane. I'm very tired. With transfers and many hospital visits I'm ready for a chill week.

Tuesday I went and did exchanges with Elder Sego who is from Texas. I went to his area which is called Presidente Franco. It was good exchange. We were able to invite lots of people to read The Book of Mormon and come to church.

Wednesday was a long day because after we went and ate lunch it started raining a ton. We stopped by the house quick to grab my comp's umbrella and while we were there we got news that my comp had to go get a rabies shot. That was a crazy experience. I basically had to figure it all our because my comps Spanish still isn't to the point of communicating in a hospital. It was definitely crazy and it turns out the place was closed too.

Thursday morning we got our transfer news. Elder Woodbury left the area and went to an area super far away called Pilar. I'm staying here in Ciudad Del Este for my third transfer. My new comp is Elder Carey. He is from Rexburg, Idaho and has about twenty-one months on the mission. He's going to finish here which is crazy. Also this is my first comp in more than ten months that has more time than me on the mission. After we got transfer news we then headed to the hospital to get the rabies shot. That all worked out pretty well. We then went to the bus stop and I said goodbye to Elder Woodbury and a bunch of other Elders in my district which was sad. I then went with two other Elders to be in a trio for about a day and a half. I went with Elder Moreno and Elder Woodward who are both awesome. We ended up cleaning an apartment of some other Elders and that was one of the worst experiences of my life. These Elders had left a bag of fruit on their kitchen table. That bag of fruit sat there for two months. There were so many maggots and that smell was strong. I did finish the day eating some of the best açai I've ever eaten.

Friday was a good and long day at the same time. Being with these Elders was so much fun. They also have a hammock installed in their house so I took advantage of that. We went to lunch with some members and then they exploded some fireworks. After that we walked and passed by literally ten or twelve people to teach and people either weren't there or weren't interested. That had us walking around for about five hours just in the heat. Another tender mercy I got eat cookies that were kinda like crumbl cookies so that was a huge plus. Then Elder Carey showed up to the area and he was able to unpack and we both crashed.

Saturday was finally a solid day of work. We were able to get out in the morning and make some good contacts. We then had to plan our week a bit then we were off to go visit some of the recent converts in the ward. It was super awesome because having a comp with so much time in the mission means he adapts quick and knows a ton.

Sunday was a very interesting day. Just like last Sunday it rained a ton and that ment almost no one came to church. We started the meeting and there were about fourteen of us. At the end of sacramental with people being late we ended up reaching twenty-two. We had a super yummy lunch and then we were off working. Then Elder Carey told me that he feels like passing out. That he was having little blackouts. With that we talked with Hermana Faúndez the mission president's wife. That was toward the end of the day at about nine and we headed to the hospital. He got some studies done. He was kinda suffering with the needle in his arm because he doesn't like needles. Then I had to leave him for a bit which was terrifying because I had to go to the lab to get the tests of his blood done. All in all we finished at midnight and were exhausted.

Wow, wow, wow. I am so sorry this email was so long but this week was crazy with some very eventful events. I think the biggest lesson that I learned was counting my blessings. I've gotten sick in the mission for sure, but it's all been normal things that passed with time. I am very thankful that I can wake up and walk and do the Lord's work. That truly I can be mentally strong as well and continue to work hard. I know that through my difficult times that I can always overcome them.

Well that's it for this crazy week. I hope next week will be less crazy. Hope you all are enjoying the Christmas season and the cold! Love you all!

¡Adiós!
Love, Elder Acor
