| Happy Thanksgiving |
Aloha Ohana,
Wow, time flies when you are having fun and staying busy. We have had our children and grandchildren visit, and it has been so much fun to see them, and everyone else who has visited, the Warren's and Brandi and Ray and we got to meet little Lanaya! We also got to see Danny Jensen get baptized. Wonderful blessings!
The past few weeks have really made me realize how grateful I am for family and friends who make our lives so much better. I didn't realize completely how much joy and love we share, until being separated for a few months. It has made me appreciate all of the fun we have hanging out together. I'm so grateful to our Heavenly Father who has made families central to His perfect plan. I feel His love for our family and others, the more I try to have His Son's influence in my life. I think that is what I love about our mission. That we can strive to focus on doing what Jesus Christ would do every day, knowing that we don't have to be perfect, just trying our best to help others feel His love for them. I asked myself why I had to be on a mission away from my family to focus on this. It should be what we do all of the time, and for many it is. My wife is an example of this, she really isn't any different over here on our mission. She is still helping everyone and following the spirit like she always does.
I really feel after all of my reflection the past couple weeks about how grateful I am. I've realized that the joy and happiness we have felt on our mission has been a lot more full because of the consecration of our time away from the greatest gift that Heavenly Father has blessed us with, which is all of you. We sure do miss everyone and appreciate you all so much! We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and that your families are healthy and safe.
We have had so many experiences over here living the Spirit of Aloha, that has made us know that Heavenly Father is in charge and in the details of our lives. Please know how deeply we miss and love you all and how much better our lives are for having each of you as part of it!! I'm grateful for a Father in Heaven who is in the details of our lives and knows what we need even before we do. Matt 6:8
Happy Thanksgiving and Aloha!
