 True Happiness and Joy

¡Haupei!

I hope everyone has had an awesome week! I know mine was pretty dang good! I saw so many miracles in the work and I felt Christ's love for me so much.

Tuesday we had a super fun district council where we did some scripture finding. That was a fun game to be able to see how well we know the scriptures and how we can apply them in our lessons. Our last lesson we had on Tuesday was with our friend Mirian. She has been slowly progressing to be baptized and had some challenges keeping her from being baptized but not anymore! She should be getting baptized this Saturday so we are super excited for her that she finally can make this covenant with God.

Wednesday started off as a fairly hot day and then half way through it started pouring rain so that was a bit tough. Something with Paraguayos is that if it rains they're forbidden to leave there house. It gets a little difficult trying to teach.

Thursday, like I said rain makes it difficult to work. Well let's just say it rained so hard that silent streams turned into rushing rivers. Luckily we had lunch with our awesome service missionary and we had a fun time making some good food while the sky was falling.

Friday was a really solid day. It stopped raining and the temperature dropped a lot to so it was really nice. We got to visit Mirain. Then that night we got to visited Hector who's getting married and baptized next week so that's super exciting!

Saturday it cooled off even more so that was awesome. We got to go visit with a girl named Camila. Her grandparents are members and come to church. Camila came to church last week and wants to know more. We visited with our young women's president and invited Camila to be baptized. She said she doesn't know if her mom with allow it. Well her mom was there and we taught her a bit. We asked her what she thought about Camila getting baptized. She said that it's a big decision and that Camila needs to make that decision. We are hoping and praying that Camila receives her answer and wants to be baptized!

Sunday was another solid day. I always enjoy fast and testimony meetings. We had so many members show up to church it was awesome. Mirian and Hector showed up as well! We had an amazing Sunday school class as well. We got to go visit an older couple with our Elder's Quorum president. They are some old friends of him and the man Francisco is a little older and sick. We got to teach them about the Book of Mormon and the restored gospel. We hope they too can start progressing. They are a little bit more hesitant because they've been Catholic their whole lives. The rest of the evening and night we spent at home because my comp had an absolute allergy attack. Don't feel bad for him he's allergic to dogs and cats and this man with touch every single one.

Today for P-Day we are going to a place called Tres Fronteras where you can see Brazil and Argentina at the same time so that'll be pretty cool!

This week I had another thing just click for me. I was studying about happiness and joy. The main thing that I learned is that most of the time our happiness and joy depend on how well we are keeping the commandments. It seems so simple but it's so easy to forget. I did a little reflection during one of my studies just at my life. I could really see what times I was happiest and see that those were the times I was doing the right things. On the mission I can see when people are suffering more. It's when they are not keeping the commandments of God. Even in the mission if I am not following some mission rules I can tell I'm angrier or frustrated. When I truly just follow the rules and commandments of God it's simple. I'm happy. There are so many conference talks about this. The key to happiness truly is keeping the commandments of God.

Well that's it for this week everyone! Thanks for reading my email and I hope y'all have an amazing week! Love you guys!

¡Chau!

Love, Elder Acor
