Sister and Elder Duncan: 10/4/23
loha Nui Loa Ohana,
It has been a few weeks since we last reported on our mission. There has been so much going on in our mission. We have the 60th Anniversary of the Polynesian Cultural Center, with so many activities associated with this fun celebration. I have been helping clean up and get things ready. It starts on October 8th with a devotional and ends on October 12th. It is amazing how the community comes together for these activities. They truly honor and love to show their appreciation for their forebears. I'm so grateful for all that they have taught me about the things that matter most.
Stacy picked up right where she left off, helping everyone she comes in contact with. The young sisters love her and sometimes I think they play like something is wrong so they can talk to her. All of the missionaries young and old are pretty amazing and we have grown to love them all so much! We love serving in the temple visitors center, & PCC where we talk to so many people from all over the world.
Recently we saw the Curtis family, they are here for a wedding. The Davis Family came on vacation, We went on a backstage tour of the PCC and Stacy got to try on a 40-pound skirt worn by the fire dancers. Dan is golfing on Wednesdays, and a few join him. After conference we had dinner at the Chamberlain's with a few missionaries.
We are trying to share the light of Jesus Christ with all of those we come in contact with and invite them to find Peace in His gospel and the atonement. I'm so grateful for General Conference and the messages that we received. We are so blessed to have such inspired leaders and we are working on thinking celestial:)
We miss our family, but we know we are where the Lord needs us at this time. We love and miss you all! May God Bless you until we meet again.
Aloha Nui Loa,
Dan & Stacy
Elder & Sister Duncan
