¡¿Trío?!
¡Hooooooola! ¿Haupei, Cómo están?
This week was sure a crazy one. Feels like last Monday was a month ago and at the same time yesterday. This week was a well full of miracles and lots of growing.
Tuesday was a super good day just some good old fashioned missionary work. We went and passed by a ton of our friends but none of them had time or they didn't want to share. We were able to pass by a few recent converts and we were able to clean one of their patios. Then we went to church to teach our friend Hector! We talked to everything about baptism and now he's on date to be baptized the 18th of November! They are going to get married the 17th too. I'm super excited for them!
Wednesday I was able to do exchanges with our zone leaders. I stayed here in my area with Elder Gunderson who's from Lindon, Utah. He's super awesome and has one less transfer than me in the mission. He's awesome and knows a ton. I learned a lot from him in what I can improve and how I can teach better. Something very crazy did happen doing our exchanges though. At about three o'clock we received a call from the mission office. They said that we had to go to the bus station to grab an Elder named Elder Fernandez. He is from the Dominican Republic. I already have done exchanges with him so I know him a bit. He has about seven months in the mission. He's super great and has an amazing connection with the people. Sadly his companion decided to go home early. He had about a month in the mission. So I finished my exchanges with a second Elder. We were able to have to super good lessons together to finish the day.
Thursday we finished our exchanges then we went back to our apartment. We kinda just sat there in our apartment for a little bit thinking what was happening. We are sitting here in a trio now with two areas to work with zero direction on what we should do. It was good. We just sat and figured out what we were going to do.
Friday we had such a good day. We were able to see so many miracles. Working as a trio was something very new for me. It has been fun though. This day we passed by many of our friends and put two people on date and were super close with one more. We were also able to have a family night with Hector.
Saturday we went to Elder Fernandez's area. It was fun to talk with lots of the friends that he has. We honestly were having a rough day because every appointment that we had fell through. We just kept going and the last friend that we passed by was a miracle. He is a teenager that Elder Fernandez for a long time has been trying to put him on date. His Mom works a lot and she's never home so they couldn't get her permission. When we passed by she was there! We were able to teach her and get her permission and I did the kid's interview. He's getting baptized tonight after our P-Day so we will see how that goes.
Sunday was a pretty solid day. We headed to the church and sadly most of the people we put on date didn't come to church but Hector still came so I'm happy about that. Elder Woodbury my companion has been super sick with lots of allergies. Sunday was the worst so he took some powerful allergies pills and just slept the whole day. Elder Fernandez and I just chilled in our apartment.
This week was full of lots of things crazy but it was such a good week. Having another companion is really fun and switches things up. I noticed that this week my habits of waking up right on time, exercising, studying, and being on time were super good. I realized the days that I kept good habits that the whole day was better. The days passed by super quick because I was focused on the work and it felt that we didn't have time to pass by because we had so many go things to do. My invitation to you all is to choose one bad habit that you may have and try and turn it into a good habit. Pray for strength to change it and see what changes come. I can promise you that you'll feel better about that bad habit. That's how we truly improve. Turning our weaknesses into our strengths.
Thanks for reading my email this week! Hope you enjoyed it! Love y'all!
¡Chau!
Love, Elder Acor
