HE'LL BE THERE FOR YOU

Helo helo it was a longggggh week but today I got a pumpkin frosty so all is well

Last week was me and sister horsleys first full week of Proselyting since she got here and it was pretty exhausting. I bit the bullet with bikes and we made our way allllll the way from our house to our area 2.4 miles which doesnt seem bad but we were dogging light poles and cars and chickens and homeless people so it was a little rough and super sweaty. Nevertheless the Lord provides and we met Diane a very sweet lady who talked our ear off about every single religious things that has ever entered her brain. We had zero chance to tell her what we actually believe but she said we could come back after her 8 day work trip up in the mountains so woot. She was also one of the construction workers on the temple and had a couple questions about it.

Because we are on bikes it's kind of hard to navigate with Google maps so I was trying really hard to memorize the street names we should turn on and yeah it was rough. On our way to yw we made a wrong turn and there was this house with an open garage that was PACKED with workout equipment. My sister horsley used to lift so she was all too excited to talk to this guy. He asked if we wanted personal training and we were like ....  do you want jesus? Not sure where that's going to go but he was fun to talk to.

My bike is a blue little cruiser with no hand brakes or gears so I have 1 speed. And that is a slow speed. There is also one tiny hill in our area and I LOVE going down that thing. Don't tell my mom but we had to ride in the dark one day last week and California has very few street lamps so I used my phone flashlight. We survived but I had to sing hymns the whole ride back to the church where the other sisters picked us up.

We had an amazing fantastic fabulous zone conference last week. I was asked to conduct the music and it was exactly what I needed. I had been praying for opportunities to use my talents for missionary work and even though it was small I really appreciated it. P bashas talk made me sob and then I got up to close the meeting with the spirit of God. My good Amiga hermana Nickerson was on the organ and she goes HARD. On the last verse she went crazy wit it and everyone (especially me) was crying. I had to stop leading the music for a second to wipe my eyes. Being a missionary is so weird but I can't imagine ever doing anything else. I want to do this forever simply for the amount of the spirit that I feel each day. A big reason I wanted to go on a mission was because I knew it would be really easy to keep my covenants and be obedient. Now I know there's a lot more to it than that but I can solidly say after 13 months that I am good at the very basics of pray read church.

I have really been focusing on testifying. One this p basha said was it doesn't matter what kind of reaction you get from someone, if you bear testimony of jesus christ they will remember it and you will have made a mark in their life. There is nothing better you can do than to bear your testimony so do it!!! Even if it is "He lives" that's enough :)

Almost a year ago I helped this really special couple get baptized. Daniel and Caroline have truly been one of the highlights of my mission. They have adopted me as their sister and I love them very much. I went on a tour of the feather river temple with them and after they really wanted to go do baptisms themselves. Last friday I was able to go and do baptisms with them and the spirit was absolutely overwhelming. Caroline was baptized for her mom and it was so heartwarming to witness. Afterwards Daniel texted me to make sure I would still be in the mission when they get sealed sometime after December. MY HEART IS SO FULL

Love and miss you all!!!
