 FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD

HEloooo this week was long and crazy but I genuinely felt Heavenly Father's hand helping me up every day.

We have a super awesome ward and they go above and beyond to feed us every single night. I have never eaten so much food so consistently in my whole life. It also doesn't help that I got some sort of dizziness gross sickness that makes me nauseaus (or however you spell that). For some reason people think we are desperately starving and they make every effort to make sure we have more than enough food for dinner which is so awesome and generous just please can I have a baggie for the leftovers on my plate 😭😭😭

Mission life is exhausting yet fulfilling and all the weird aspects including comprimising between ward leadership about the way we do meetings are things I wouldn't give up for the world, especially because sooner or later I will have to leave it behind.

I can't honestly say that I have loved every moment of my mission but I know that It truly has changed my life and every day is so different from the one before. I am doing my best to soak up every second of the next 27 weeks and 4 days

We found a family of 7 this last week that were just genuinely curious to know what we believe so what did we do? left them with a book of mormon and said we'd come back to explain where it came from. keepin em on their toes.

God is so unbelieveably proud for each of the efforts we make every day to come closer to Him and I know He loves each of His children.

D and C 123:17 says to cheerfully do all things that lie in our power and then to stand still with the utmost assurance to see the salvation of God and for His arm to be revealed.

If we can't do something cheerfully then is it really in our power? We are in control of our thoughts actions and feelings and something I have come to learn on my mission is God WANTS OUR HAPPINESS and if we are not happy then He is not Happy. misery does not equal growth and improvement. If you are not happy then take a step back and determine what you CAN do with joy. You don't have to like everything but you do have to love.

Have a fantabulous week filled with prayers and scripture study and the TEMPLE. If you live within 30 min of a temple STOP TAKING IT FOR GRANTED and go. like for real for real

ONE BY ONE

ONE YEARRRRR DOWNNNNNNNNN

We have officially made it to old missionary stage. It feels super strange but looking back I know that God has held me every single one of the last 365 days.

Sorry for the lack of emails for the past month. I started training a new missionary, Sister Riches. She is my exact twin down to the birthday and we would have the same family if it weren't for one brother of hers. We are also both the youngest of big families which made for some interesting compromises and conversations but I love her with my whole entire heart and I will dearly miss her because after just 6 weeks of her 12 week training......THE LORD GAVE ME ANOTHER TRAINEE.  so i reluctantly handed my adorable baby sister riches over to sister rasmussen whom I also love she was my companion in red bluff.

And now I have a new baby!! Her name is sister horsley she's from bluffdale utah and She is the cutest and hardest working missionary ever. She LOVES knocking and we are about to grind out the next 12 (6?) weeks.

ALSO

TEMPLETEMPLETEMPLETEMPLE WE HAVE BEEN WORKING THE FEATHER RIVER TEMPLE OPEN HOUSE

Some of the most spiritual experiences of my mission have been because of the temple and now I have the opportunity to help others feel that for themselves. Last week we were able to do the videos in the stake center for the Invited Guest tours and after talking to 3 70's and a couple congressmen I am amazed at the reach the temple has to bring others in and as Alma 26:5 says "Behold the field was ripe and blessed are ye for ye did thrust in the sickle and did reap with your might yea all the day long did ye labor and behold the number of your sheaves! and they shall be gathered into the garners (TEMPLE) that they are not wasted"

God is gathering His children to the temple that they may make covenants for themselves and others that we are not wasted but saved and endowed with the power necessary to endure this life and have everlasting life in the next.

Please please please go to the temple and encourage others to come with you. It truly is our reality to be in the presence of our Savior and reconnect with Him often.

pictures are open house and seeing some old friendos again!! including both my trainers <3
