¡Buenas nargas!

(That's something hermana acabal taught me)

This week was full of miracles and lots of learning moments! In zone conference, we spoke of our "mission backpack" as coming in with a few "rocks" and what we would leave with (some christlike attributes). This week, through living Christ's doctrine, some of my rocks have been taken out and I've been able to become more like my Savior.

☆ the first transforming experience was having no AC with 100+ degree heat. Let's just say that I am a lot more grateful and humble than I was. God bless air conditioning. πŸ™

☆ the second was service 😊 Each week we help this older woman in the ward clean her house and each week she asks us to check her mail and she receives none πŸ˜”πŸ˜” it's so sad and Sister Acabal and I have decided we will send her some letters and get the YM and YW involved.

☆ we have been finding a lot of new friends, but struggling to help them continue progressing on the covenant path. Please pray for them that they will move forward with faith!

☆ each day as I study and ponder the scriptures and the words of the prophets I learn more about Jesus Christ and I've been able to feel His transforming power each day as we go about doing His work.

☆ our friend alexander came to church again! He is ready for change and has been connecting with some members. We have the blessing of having a temple super close by with a visitor's center, so we will be doing a temple tour this week!

☆ the elders in the ward have been teaching two friends of a member and this Sunday they decided to be baptized! The joy and peace that they felt was palpable. It was a beautiful baptismal service.

☆ during district counsel we focused on the two great commandments to love God and our neighbor. In the section in PMG there is a quote I really love:

πŸ’•"What we love, determines what we seek. What we seek, determines what we think and do. And what we think and do determines who we are—and who we will become."πŸ’•

Christ works from the inside out. Through Him our desires and our motivation can be transformed! What we love becomes what He loves. I'm so grateful for Him and His Gospel. Living what he taught is what unlocks His power in our lives.

Love you all, have a wonderful week
