¡Haupei a Todos!
I hope everyone has had an amazing week because wow I know I sure have had one. This week was just a solid week of being on the mission. Lots of ups and downs but so much growth.
We have been working very closely with the people that we have date. They are so close to being baptized so we want to make sure that everything works out great. Ángel got baptized last week but we had to wait a week for his confirmation. We were able to visit him during the week and see how he is doing and we were able to make some traditional Paraguayan food for a family home evening with him. Monday we also met a young kid who is nine years old and his mom wants him to get baptized. We were able to have a family home evening with them and put him on date for this Saturday! His name is Alexander Cabrera and honestly he is such a funny kid. He is super ready and we are super excited for him.
Then we have Mateo and Celsa who we have been working with a ton. They are soooo close to being baptized. We are being very patient with them. They asked us if we could push their baptism to this Saturday so that we could prepare a little bit more. We told them yes but this is their only time we will let them change it. They know The Book of Mormon is true, they know Joseph Smith was a prophet, they know that the church is true. They are just nervous to make the decision and stop going to their old church. Or I should say Celsa is. Mateo wants to get baptized but he has told us that only if Celsa gets baptized will he get baptized. So it has been a process with them but we have faith that this Saturday we will have three baptisms with Mateo, Celsa, and Alexander. Any prayers that you can offer on their behalf are very welcome.
This week I also was able to have my interview with President Faúndez which we have every transfer, but last transfer we were not able to do it. I always love our interviews so I was very excited to have mine finally. We did it online which is not my favorite but that is fine, but I had my interview and wow literally I think my mission president will be the prophet one day. He is so inspired and just helped me figure out some things that I had been struggling with. He gave me guidance and advice with so much love. Every time I have my interviews with him it just feels like I can leave the interview and go baptize everyone. I just wanna say how thankful I am for modern revelation and priesthood keys. I just want to say thank you to all my leaders that I have had in my life. To all my teachers, leaders in Young Mens, mentors, whatever it be I am so happy that I have had so many great influences in my life up unto this point to make me who I am today. I feel like everyday I can change and just be a little bit better and when I need that extra help I can turn to my wonderful examples in my life.
I am feeling really good about the mission. Little by little, even the frustrating things I am enjoying. Even when we may not be having much success I am always strengthening my testimony and relationship with Christ.
Thank you all for reading this email! Love you all so much and I hope you have an awesome week!
¡Adíos!
Love, Elder Acor
