LOVE THIS GOSPEL, HUG IT, KISS IT

GENEVIE PHILLIPS IS OFFICIALLY A MEMBER OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS she was confirmed yesterday and malepe, the brother who baptized and confirmed her got up and bore his testimony and gave us our title for the week.

It seems impossible to say that I am past halfway but I know there is still so much more to go and it honestly feels like I just barely started my mission because I actually feel like I have my feet under me and I have somewhat of an idea of how to be an effective missionary. Although everyday is a question of how I could have done better I can see slow improvements week by week and I know Jesus Christ is completing my efforts by the power of the Atonement.

This last week just like every other one was equally Longgggg and super super short.

Monday- brushed some cute horses and had dinner with a biggo family of 11 at their house on the edge of the Sacramento river. They bought a house from the 80's that is like a pure time capsule and they've been doing major renovations on their kitchen and I got zoomed back to home building the new house and everything that goes with that.

Tuesday- We had a mission wide leadership meeting in Gridley and it was just like every other MLC with lots of talking and not lots of progress but it was so good to see all the missionaries I love. There was a massive testimony meeting at the end for the lots of missionaries who are going home (including my amma Sister Ramesh😪) as well as president and Sister Talley who are leaving before the end of this transfer. It was incredibly spiritual and as president Talley bore his testimony I could feel the spirit repeating the words "I know I know I know" over and over in my head. I know Jesus Christ is my savior and He is coming soon. I know the Book of Mormon has changed my life. I know I am a daughter of God.

Wednesday- it started out pretty good all chill and a pretty normal wednesday until our dinner at Applebees I started getting really bad stomach cramps, I managed to get through the dinner with our adorable members and then as soon as it was over I was like "sorry girl we got to go home". I don't know if it was the taco truck lunch at MLC or the protein shakes I've started drinking but something absolutely HATED my tummy and I was done for. We stayed in for the rest of the day and most of the day Thursday, I was sleeping on and off and just praying for the pain to go away. So Fun

Friday- Miraculous exchange with the STLTs. I was with Hermana Glum who served in Red Bluff for a hot second before I got here and we were able to visit some people she had found previously, none of them were home but we had tons of fun together and God is so good because my tummy was fine the whole day until we had exchanged back and I got home and then I absolutely passed out. Hma Glum is so humble and powerful and I want to be just like her and loving this work, not waiting to get out the door, and bearing testimony to everyone of His love for them.

Saturday- we had district council and interviews and I had a very powerful conversation with President Talley about the second coming. It was bitter sweet as it was our last interview but he helped me see that no matter what has happened before, I am changing now and becoming the missionary that not only my savior wants me to be but also my mom wants me to be. If WWJD doesn't work for you at least WWMMD can work (What would my mom do). ❤️ ya Linda

Sunday- We had an early stake meeting that made us late for our first sacrament meeting and as we are rushing in I SEE JACOB FROM CITRUS HEIGHTS!!!!! He was on his way home from washington and had stopped here to go to church and say hi! it was a huge blessing and God showed me He was proud of my efforts as a missionary. He made a comment in the gospel principles class that something I had taught him about faith is exactly what he needed to be baptized and I melted. How AMAZING it is that God has let me have a front row seat in His work. I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY

If any of you or anyone you know is questioning or could go on a mission, go, go go gog gogogogogogogo it is so so good and there is so much that is so hard but God was never going to take the hard things away, He is going to give you good and bad at the same time but in a way that is exactly what you need and it makes all the bad become good and then everything is good. love it

I found my most favorite thing Jesus has said this week in 3 nephi 18:32

"Nevertheless ye shall not cast him out of your synagogues or your places of worship, for unto such shall ye continue to minister for ye know not but what they will return and repent and come unto me with full purpose of heart and I shall heal them and ye shall be the means of bringing salvation unto them"

Matthew 25:40

" inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren ye have done it unto me"

It's all for Him :)
