 I LIKE TO LOOK FOR RAINBOWS🏳️‍🌈

 

This was a fun week we had a couple people ask us about what our church thinks about the LGBTQ+ community and we were just like, God loves all of His children❤️

We reached out to this old guy on facebook who had previously talked to missionaries and we told him we were in Red Bluff and he was like "welcome to our crazy little village :)" and that couldn't be more true.

The highcouncil man over missionary work in our stake gave us his 17 year old daughters phone number so we could take her tracting so we decided to initiate her in the best way possible by going WAY up out in the boonies of middle of nowhere California and go tracting. Some people didn't answer, one talked to us through her ring doorbell and said to come back later, another told us his grandma was a voodoo priestess and he inherited her powers and proceeded to ask us if we were single because he was trying to find his wife. He was nice enough to ask for a handshake instead of a hug. We also found some bullet casings as we were walking away from a house where the people were definitely there but never answered. We were so far up in the booners that the Rav 4 got put into trail mode🤘

We had our last zone conference with president and Sister Talley and there were many tears shed. I will miss them so so bad, as we were singing the spirit of God at the end of the meeting I was barely getting the words out until I looked up a sister Talley and she was totally losing it too and I couldn't even. We all wore black to say goodbye for now :( (but suprise suprise follow up MLC will be in person so we will see them one more time!!!!!)

This weeks scripture comes from Moroni 7:48, that when he shall appear we shall be like him for we shall see him as he is that we may have this hope that we may be purified even as he is pure. As I have come to learn more about the Savior I have learned more about myself and the nature of others. We all have the light of Christ. I started a new yoga routine from this random video on facebook and at the end she quotes a spiritual teacher lady 

"a thousand different pots filled with water shine with reflections from the sun. The reflections are many but they reflect the same sun. As we come to understand ourselves we see more of us in others." I was like THAT IS JESUS THAT IS THE LIGHT OF CHRIST. We all have Him within us even when it is hidden and different and the world has beaten us down. There is light.
