 GOD IS AWESOME

We heard that like four times this last week it was so epic

Transfers happened and I'm staying in ol' Red Bluff!! I have come to love this tiny town with my whole heart and I am so excited everyday to see what crazy thing we will do next. I have a new companion sister Rasmussen and she is the sweetest and bestest human alive. She came here from my baby area so we have been sharing some of the memories of Gridley.

We were talking yesterday about the same topic that Elder Neilson of the 70 brought up at a mission leadership conference in December. "Who gets to do this?" literally it is so weird to think about sometimes. Who gets to go around talking to every person you see just asking them about their beliefs and if maybe perhaps they'd like to hear about yours. Time after time I try to put myself in the position of the people we talk to and I can't even imagine the uncomfortablity and awkardness and yet we get people to ask us to come back! I love being a missionary and even though there are many difficult moments especially towards the middle of the day when my body has decided to give out there are so many miracles that come from pushing forward no matter what. Even when you have to go against your very nature and attempt to change your natural instincts and put all your trust in God. That is when you part red seas and hearts open and the love that God has for His children fills the room and the man who is training to become a pastor in another christian church says he will read the Book of Mormon and we can come back the next week.

Some fun things this last week

I HELD A CHICKEN her name was Karen

We fed the whole farm and got really close and personal with an adorable horse named blueberry, I hate to admit it but I felt so happy with all those animals and I may need a couple when I can afford them.

We went to a restaurant inside the tiny Red Bluff airport and then later stopped on the side of the road to watch a plane land

We finally got the zone together to play wackee six and it was super super fun

A little girl drew me a picture of herself and said it was so I would never forget her😭💗

We tried to have a lesson with a less active member and her 5 year old was all over the place so we ended up just sitting on the ground playing candyland and it was so fun

My new district leader was on the assistants to the president for the last 5 transfers and this is his last transfer. He wants our district to focus on talking to everyone so we have been setting a goal of how many people we would talk to in person and online and talking to everyone is the best thing ever. On Saturday we ended up talking to this lady outside the grocery store holding all of our groceries (no bags this is cali folks) and we talked to her for a good fifteen minutes. We got her number and then hurried to dump our groceries in our car with our arms cramping like crazy.

Yesterday we had dinner with a family and the dad collect coins. He gave us a bunch from all over the world including Japan and Korea! it was super awesome and I got a two dollar bill from 1953 :)

I hope you all are doing amazing and you see the blessings of God in your life. My DL told us to read 1 nephi 11 and think about the importance of the atonement in our lives and I mistakenly read 3 nephi 11 where it talks about baptism. I was able to have some profound thoughts on how baptism leads us to the Savior which tied in perfectly with our friend Genevie getting baptized yesterday.

The Spirit of God like a Fire is Burning :)
