  ISRAEL ISRAEL GOD IS CALLING

hey hey howdy hey!! So happy to be alive for another week on the mish!! This week wasnt too crazy and I don't have a ton of time.

We had zone conference and for an hour during it the zone leadership is in charge of doing a training for their zone. As an sister training leader i'm part of teaching and helping especially the sisters in the anderson zone and for our training we did an Enos experience which is where you bring a specific concern to the lord and study and pray about how you can improve and make a plan with the lord about how you are going to address it. I did this when I was 14 at girls camp and it was the first time I truly had a one on one experience with my heavenly father and was the start of my testimony and is the basis of everything I believe today. I was so so sooooo excited to help my zone have this experience and we planned it out perfectly so we would have enough time for the experience and to discuss and practice with it afterwards. Well as almost everything in missionary life goes, it didn't go as planned. Some meetings before went over and we had to start the next section soon so our zone Breakout got very cut short and we were only able to do the Enos experience section and we weren't able to discuss or do any roleplays. I was so stressed about it that I was unable to feel the spirit how I wanted to and take my concerns to the lord but wonder of wonders and miracle of miracles every missionary in my zone the next day said that was one of the most spiritual zone breakouts they had had. Especially my companion. It grew my testimony that the Lord will provide a way and He is helping others and magnifying our efforts far more than we could ever imagine. I would invite you all to do this experience sometime this week and to truly get a lot out of it set apart a good chunk of time and be in a space you can be alone. I can promise you that God will speak to you in a way that only you would understand and only He would know to talk to you. I know He loves you and He wants to help you with the things that are giving you grief.

Other than that I had an epic week with some awesome finding opportunities! Things are slowly picking up and I am so grateful for all the support!!

Some fun stuff

- I was sick so we had to stay in a couple days and it was rough but we played lots of skipbo

- we met a guy named Bob and he told us his last name was German and we were like oh really what is it? And he was like no. It's just "german".  Super awk

- we played pickleball with some old people today and they just called me little sister the whole time :)

- we read the Book of mormon with a returning member and she had a bat in her wall that was flapping its wings the whole time🤢

Anways I love you all and please let me know if any of you did the Enos experience! It changed my life!

OUR SONG IS THE SLAM OF SCREEN DOORS

On the mission there is a wonderful thing called the mission veil where literally every pop culture reference and song escapes your brain and you only have bits and pieces. Except taylor swift her songs will stay in my head forever.

We visited SO many Grey dots this week (formerly taught) and yellow dots (potentially interested) and we got lots of no. One of them was a yellow dot from all the way back in December and he had never answered the phone or texts. We decided to go out to visit him in the boonies of redbluff. It was so so beautiful with lots of trees and the houses were like cabins. We knocked on is door and an angry lady answered saying "whaddya want" sister Broschinsky only got out "church of jesus christ" before she promptly slammed the door. MY FIRST SLAMMED DOOR. Incredible that it took 8 months. I have had some aggressive deadbolt locks as we walk away from the door but that was a totally different experience. I was kind of frazzled the rest of the day but the work moves forward!

We found and taught our new friend Clinton! He struggles to feel accepted socially and lives with his very old grandparents. We assured him of God's love and that we are here to help him. Pray for him to know he is loved.

Our friend Genevie informed us this week that her great grandmother's spirit has passed on into the next life and she no longer has to fight the demons! (She has schizophrenia) she also can keep the word of wisdom and can be baptized. God is working miracles in her life through the power of keeping the commandments and we are so excited for her to have the Holy Spirit as her constant companion. Pray that she will be able to continue to progress.

We visited some less actives in a tiny town called Gerber and as we left one ladies house and went to another we realized they were sisters. They don't talk to each other a lot even though one of them said she would like to have a better relationship with her sister and it was a testimony to me of how important the church is not only for us to grow closer to the Savior but together as families. I am so grateful for my eternal family and the relationships I have with them. I know that forgiveness and love is always the answer and contention never leads to positive results.

As a missionary you learn about all the Callings and all the responsibilities in the church and oh my goodness is it difficult to make sure everyone is doing their part. Especially the oldies that are a little more stuck in their ways. I hope that you all can see the blessing from Callings and as you minister to others you will see Jesus christ working through and with you.

I love you all! I'm going to the temple for my birthday on Thursday next week and you all should too!

Also let me know if any of you did the Enos experience.
