Aloha Family & Friends,
We hope all is well with everyone. We have been busy and time is flying by. We have met so many people over here in our travels from all walks of life. It has to be one of the most diverse ethnic missions anywhere. We just got back from a Samoan devotional at the PCC. The theme was leading by serving others. The spirit was so strong and there were chickens roaming through the meeting. It made me realize that as long as we are focused on what is being taught, it doesn't matter what's going on around us. These people are so humble and kind. They really appreciate their heritage and they respect their parents. They enjoy the simple things in life and are happy just being together laughing, dancing, & feeling the spirit.
We had a senior devotional last week and we listened to Elder Jack Welch who talked about the good Samaritan article he wrote in the April ensign.
We had a music fireside with Kalani Satake and his coaches and players spoke.
Stacy and I had a Jahovah Witness Lady and her grandson knock on our door and I thought it was one of the Senior Sister Missionaries coming by to meet with Stacy. I invited them in and said Hi deacon to her grandson and then I realized she was here to convert us. It turned out to be a wonderful experience as we listened to her and her grandson. We shared with her what we believed and had a wonderful visit. We talked about our families and showed pictures:)
I love meeting people and sharing my testimony and this mission has so much opportunity to share. So grateful for our Savior, His Atonement, and the plan of salvation.
We had the Condie family visit this week. They were here for their daughters' temple sealing. We sat and talked at the PCC gateway buffet. It was so much fun.
Our bishop asked us to teach 5th Sunday tomorrow, Temple and Family History. We are looking forward to that.
We love serving our mission and have felt the spirit so strong as we talk to all of the beautiful people He puts in our path.
We miss our family and friends but we are embracing this experience to be missionaries and serve with all our hearts, mind, and strength.
Aloha nui loa,
Elder & Sister Duncan
