¡Hola mi familia y a mis amigos!
Well everyone this week was a pretty uneventful one. It seemed like nothing really happened this week. People didn't really want to listen. No one is really progressing, but hey! We have weeks like that sometimes and that's completely ok!
Tuesday was just a very normal day. We did not make much progress. Wednesday though we did divisions and I did them with Elder Contreras from Chile. It was not the best division because we started and we took the wrong bus home and during that it started pouring rain so all in all we took like three hours to get home. Then we got home and it was pouring buckets and we just couldn't get anyone to accept us so we wrote testimonies in copies of The Book of Mormon and talked.
Thursday had our weekly planning so it was a bit slow then we went out and worked and no one wanted to listen and no one had time. Then we visited with some members which lifted our spirits a little bit but that is how we ended the day.
Friday we worked, our set lessons were canceled and we visited some people. No one really had a lot of interest. Just was a day to stop teaching people and drop them. Saturday was pretty much the same situation. Just stopping by lots of people but little to no progress.
Sunday though was really good. We had our district conference. A ton of members came so that was good to see. The best part was that we got to hear from President Faundez which was awesome. He is the president of the mission. He gave an awesome talk. The talks before that were awesome too but it was a lot about marriage so I put that advice to use in the future. What president shared was why wait to do things. Why can we not put all of our strength into something and do it. He compared the district here in Encarnación to the Jews who wandered in the desert for forty years. This district has been here for forty years and hasn't grown into a stake for some reason. The Jews in the wilderness could have gotten to the land of promise in eleven days but it took them forty years. He gave the example of why we need to take so much time to do something when we think about it. It only takes a short amount of time. So this week do something you have been putting off. Reach out to someone, start reading The Book of Mormon, go to the temple. Whatever it is, go and do it.
Also shout out to Payton my sister for sharing an awesome thought with me in her email to me. It is a quote from comefollowmedaily and it says "Heavy burdens will still come our way, despite or possibly BECAUSE of our faith. Crosses will still be placed before us." I love this thought. Even if we have strong faith we will still struggle and it can even be a way that God lets us see more miracles and more happiness in our lives!
That's everything from this week! Thanks for reading! Have a great week, love you all!
¡Adiós!
Love Elder Acor
