Elder Acor: 3/27/23
¡Hola mi familia y a mis amigos!
Wow, this week was something else. Maybe just a little crazy. I loved it though I learned a lot and had a ton of fun experiences.
I started this week with the opportunity to do divisions! This time I got to do divisions with Elder Henriod. He is from Nevada. He is an amazing missionary and it was his last week this week. I went to his area to work and learned a lot. With all his experience in the mission I got to pick and prode a bit to figure out how to be the best missionary and what I can do now to be a better leader. He's going to be missed a lot in the mission he was awesome.
The rest of the week was very normal. Lots of teaching and lots of visits. The thing that was different is we used The Book of Mormon a more. We talked and testified in every lesson. Honestly I could feel that my Spanish was better and that our friends understood the lessons better. The power of The Book of Mormon is so real and powerful!
One big thing that happened this week is that it was my birthday! My first birthday here on the mission and I can say that it was a very different birthday. I was able to go to a nice place to eat lunch then we kinda just worked a normal day. Luckily at night we stopped by a member's house and they made us fried cake which is just like a scone and it was yummy! Now I am 19 years old and I still feel like a little kid running around Paraguay sometimes.
I was able to give a talk on Sunday about pretty much everything is the gospel it was awesome. It was the first time I have given a talk and I talked all the time. I was pretty impressed with myself. Then Sunday night we got the news about transfers. I am going to stay here in Encarnación and I am going to get a new new comp. He is an American and I get to train him. I am so excited because I get to teach about the mission and also how to speak Spanish. I am so happy that I get to train someone again and now I get to start training again. Right now I am traveling seven hours to Asunción to meet my new comp.
That is about it for this week. Sorry if the email was a bit everywhere because I just a bit busy today. Hope everyone has a great week! Love you all!
!Adiós!
Love, Elder Acor

Sis. Ericksen here: Great news that you will be training an American, so you can help him with the lessons AND his Spanish!
