Elder Acor: 3/13/23
Forgiveness

¡Hola mi familia y a mis amigos!
Another week down in the work of the Lord. I can not explain how fast time is passing on the mission. Sometimes I will wake up in the morning and then I feel like I am going right back to bed. The days go by so fast and the weeks even faster.
Highlight of this week is that I got to go on divisions with an Elder in my district. Elder Halls! He is from Gilbert Arizona and he is so cool. We are in the same group so we have the same time in the mission and we are both training. We did divisions in his area and that was fun to see a new area here in Encarnación. We truly saw some miracles during our divisions. We taught so powerfully with the spirit and testified strongly that the church is true. It was such a fun experience. Then we went back to their apartment which is right across the hall from the zone leaders so we talked that night and it was fun. Elder Henriod is hilarious and I laughed a lot.
Then after I came back to the apartment and apparently our air was leaking water and of course it was right above my bed. So my mattress was outside on the balcony to dry. Then we had some people come by to fix it so it was chill. Other than these things I wish I had more of a crazy story to share or crazy experiences. The only thing I really can share is that the area has been struggling. We had not had that much success with our friends. We pass by and maybe share a little bit but it truly does not seem that our friends are understanding the concepts that we are teaching. I want to have someone that we teach understand the importance of The Book of Mormon and read it and pray about it then know these things. We ask some people if they believe that it is true and they say yes but they do not understand the gravity of that. If The Book of Mormon is true we can know so many other things.
I think the greatest thing that I have learned about this transfer is the importance of trying new things and not getting in the comfort zone. Having to try new things and make mistakes is the way that we can grow the fastest honestly. When we accept that we are not perfect and that everyday we will mess up is when the Lord will help us the most.
This week I listened to a talk by Elder Faust of the 12 Apostles in 2007 called The Healing Power of Forgiveness. It is such a powerful talk and I loved listening to it and hearing the love in Elder Faust's voice. It is something that I truly want to work on in my life is the power of forgiveness and forgiving without holding back. I know that we can receive more happiness when we do that.
Love you all! Appreciate your prayers for me and all the support. Have a great week!
¡Adios!
Love Elder Acor

I was just talking to your mom after church yesterday about your mission. The ups and downs can be challenging - but growth can come that way, too. God bless you this week! ☼
